I wish something like this could be pinned to the top, but I'm wondering what hotels are and aren't doing key checks at the elevators.  I've been staying at the Cosmo which doesn't check keys, but I'm in the mood to try a new hotel for my next trip.  Anyone have current info?

Unfortunately TER doesn't have a pinned post option.
The old thread posted years ago here has majorily changed .

I stayed at Silver Sevens recently. At that time, there was no rm key check for it there.

REQUIRES A KEY:
Linq
Palazzo/Venetian
Mirage
The Orleans*
Bally’s*
Gold Coast*
*kind of; must show security but can easily be by passed

DOES NOT:
Cosmopolitan
Tropicana
Cromwell

I’ll add more as I go

Aria does.

Since they weren’t mentioned, Circa does too, and so does Resorts world. (Resorts world actually knows your floor based on your key card)

But FYI guys, no one really cares. I assure you that your not as important as you think, or your friends/coworkers don’t mind.

Personally I love the looks I get meeting with a lady at the bar for a drink, and then heading back to my room. It’s like they are all gambling while I already won.

Aria, Bellagio, NY NY, Mandalay Bay, etc. should require a key to use the elevator, but no human is checking keys.

Boyd casinos require you to flash a key card at a guard.

I think Caesars properties check for keys during some busy periods but not always.

Maybe a stupid question but does the golden nugget require a key card ?
Thanks
