Although one of the smaller Las Vegas properties (at only 3000+ rooms), the Monte Carlo is burning as we speak. News reports are that they now have the fire under control, and nobody has been reported hurt (thank goodness).

I'm sure the hotel will close for repairs. Many people will be out of work. And hotel room inventory will be removed from the market.

What does this mean to the local economy? Displaced service workers, new jobs in construction, higher room costs? What does it mean for our favorite service providers?

Do any of the ladies have a fun/memorable story to share that took place at the Monte Carlo?

Did anyone have any plans for the immediate future which now need to be rescheduled?

When it's all said and done, I hope nobody really got hurt and that the downtime for repairs is minimal.
