I am going to have a 10 days vacation in late Oct. and plan to come to Vegas. 10 days seems to be an awful long time for Vegas. I am still going to engage in my usual entertainment such as gambling, our hobby, dining, etc., but I am hoping to find something fun and different. Any suggestion?
If you enjoy taking photos there are a lot of great places to shoot. Las Vegas has mountains and amazing rock structures, ghost towns and wonderful content for night and time lapse images as well.
Or
You could zip line down the Fremont Experience or take advantage of the crazy rides at the Stratosphere. Indoor or real skydiving....
There are a lot of options....
massage, spa, relax
Kisses Angel
I hope you find something that tickles your fancy

I recently did the Hoover Dam Tour, but the Red Rocks or Sunset would be just as much fun. Oh, and since this is such an adrenaline rush, consider taking a lady along. The "after-ride" may be just as much fun! knowwhatimean??
I have done the Hoover Dam tour, it is a very interesting way to spend an hour or so.
My personal agenda for an extended trip to LV is a visit to Mt Charlston and boating on Lake Mead. There are providers out there that are willing to act as a personal concierge. Not certain how the weather would affect those plans for late October. I have also heard great things about Red Rock.
Depending on your particular interests and budget, I can think of lots of things to do in Vegas and the surrounding areas. Most of my Vegas trips are also 10-14 days, so I always plan other activities. Here are a few suggestions...
There are companies that have tour packages for Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, etc. They also have ATV tours, Helicopter tours over Vegas and/or the Grand Canyon. At the LV Speedway, you can drive some exotic race cars. You can visit the "Gun Store" and literally have a blast! You can shoot all sorts of cool guns. If you're into nostalgia, head over to the Pinball Hall of Fame and play some cool pinball machines from the past.
If you have a rental car, you can venture out to Pahrump where you can visit the winery and their restaurant is also excellent. While you're in Pahrump, you can also drive out to Dennis Hof's Alien Cathouse on Hwy95 in Lathrup Wells. They just had their "soft opening" last week. In addition to the cathouse, there's the Alien Travel Center, restaurant, and gas station on their property. The Longstreet Inn/Casino is also nearby.
...the Fremont Street Experience overhead lightshow doesn't light up until 8 pm. I wanted to zipline while the lights were on so I killed some time and had a very nice dinner at Oscar's Beef Booze and Broads. I thought all of LV dress was resort casual so I showed up at the restaurant in nice khaki shorts and a nice casual button shirt. They let me in anyway. It turns out that most guys were dressed in business casual to formal business attire and the ladies were dressed up in LBDs and the like. No big deal. I then walked to the Mob Museum and bought a flask in the gift shop. I'll take the full tour next time. Back to Fremont Street, I bought my zipline ticket and made it up to the launch platform where they informed me I had to fly without my glasses or have eyeglass straps on my glasses. WTF! Why didn't they tell me that at the ticket counter?! Seems pointless to ride the zipline if I can't see clearly so I returned to the ticket office to purchase eyeglass straps. They were sold out... They did refund my ticket and I'll try it again next time. The Gun Store, Dig It, and the walking tour of the Hoover Dam bypass bridge are also on the top of my LV to do list.
Everyone has had great suggestions, just have a couple of different things. Anthony Cools Experience, very fun adult hypnotist at The Paris Pornstar Karaoke on Monday nights at Red Lounge about 300 W Sahara. Get to spend some time with porn stars and watch them and join in singing..
I travel 5,000 miles to get to Vegas, and for at least two weeks at a time. I have done almost everything there is to do over the past ten trips. But being Vegas, there is always something new to do each trip.
My last trip was this past May/June for 15 nights. Below are some of the things I did on that trip.
Balloon flight. Zip Line - Downtown. Mob Museum (Downtown) and Mob Experience (Tropicana). Jet Ski on Lake Mead. Helicopter with NO doors flight over the strip and downtown. Tandem Parachute jump over at Boulder City. Sky Jump off the Stratosphere tower. ATV through the Mojave desert. Sky Combat flight. Grand Canyon South sunset trip. Red Rock Canyon trip. Valley of Fire trip. Ten different Shows. Two massages. Six sessions with a provider.
There is a lot more to Vegas than most tourists and some locals think.
First, Determine what activities you want to do alone, or with a provider.
Select a couple of providers and give them a MENU of activities you want to try.
There may be providers that have thought about doing someone; but never had the opportunity to do (like NASCAR experience, ZIP Line, a specific show). Whatever you try, do it with a provider that says she have never tried it (or never seen the show, or never eaten at a specific restaurant). Then is will be a new experience for the both of you and hopefully will lead to a memorable date.
