Use an alias here??

They're talking about "alternate" aliases

There's your main account name (alias), which people can use to send PMs and such, and there are alternate aliases that you can create and use, which hides your main account name and doesn't allow anyone (except mods) to contact you at all.

Of COURSE no one here posts under their real names. Do you Rhodes Scholars REALLY need this explained to you?!
