From an outsider looking in, media suggests there is a significant uptick in assaults, robberies and shootings on or near the strip. Facts are facts, but in normal times were these crimes not reported on the front pages.. I’ll certainly feel safe when visiting shortly but I am sure there are some who think otherwise..
The violence on the strip is getting out of hand. The worst element of visitors are coming to Vegas now while others won't, mostly due to slashed room rates. The Cosmo has taken measures to protect it's guests by only allowing hotel guests and those with restaurant reservations on their property from 6 PM - 6 AM. Other properties may upgrade their security measures as well. These are strange times in Vegas. Things can only get better here and they will. This is just a temporary thing. All things pass.
