Ventian Advice?

I'm going to stay at the Ventian and wanted to get an outcall.  Any problems with security etc?  Any advice?

You'll need to meet her downstairs and escort her to your room.  Security at Venetian always checks for room keys at the elevator.

Have fun!  ;-)

and not have to bother the gentleman.

It just makes things easier and less conspicuous.

They keep changing them so often, I just gave up.  I go into the gift shop on the second floor and look at things, but a bottle of water, etc.  The guy comes in and either I go up with him or he discretely hands me his key.  Then I give him a 30 second head start while I am paying for my water and as soon as I get to the room I give him his key back.

Most of the higher end hotels change their keys often to keep the pools, rooms, etc locked down for guests only.  Personally, I prefer to be very discreet.  How embarrassing is it for both provider and client if the provider first gets caught with an old key and then is escorted up by a gentleman?  Pretty obvious...

Now a days most higher end hotels have what they call “souvenir keys”
The face of the Key card is changed every couple of days ( not sure exactly after how many days. ) to keep the pools, rooms, etc locked down for guests only and for guest to keep as a souvenir of their stay.

Devani is right ! How embarrassing to be caught with a wrong key …………………….period !!!

BTW keys that are asked to be retuned at check out well if you are keeping those, that is considered by law as possession of private property.
If caught with that type of key you can get in trouble with LE.

It isn’t a problem to meet a lady downstairs and escort her back to the room. Security can care less what is going on and they don’t know who the lady is.

So many people come and go . Maybe your meeting a friend , maybe it’s your daughter …….. but of course then maybe better she isn’t dressed in a tight  provocative red dress and 7 inch heels LOL LOL

If you need to be discreet because you can’t be seen in public with a women, as Logan pointed out there are ways to get the lady up to the room.

I like using the Venetian pool area even when I am not staying there because it is secluded and seems to have less screaming kids.  I can think of at least 2 ways to get there without having to show anybody anything - and if you get there then you can get to the main tower elevators.  One is the Venezia Tower bridge and the other (which I've never tried) is the spa elevator from the Grand Canals.  For the Venezia Tower, at least in the day, you can cut through the pool area.

As for security not caring less, there was a thread some months ago where someone had a problem with security demanding to see his lady friend's ID at Harrah's.  I guess one way around this is schedule earlier in the day when they don't have security. :-)

At the Venetian ...... he was asking about the Venetian ;-)

Harrah's is different and that also changes from time to time.

All good advice and since several of you are on the "to see" list I'll get to try out the "pass the key in the gift shop" move.  Thanks for your help.

There are several ways “around” security at the Venetian.  In addition to those mentioned, often times there is NO security guard by the 2nd floor (Canal Shops level) entrance doors to the main elevators, which require a room key to open.  I have seen many people outside those doors, “apparently” fumbling for their keys, only to walk in when someone else exits.

As another possible suggestion, the first floor security guard station has a house phone on the wall right behind it.  I’ve had several friends get to my room by having the guard call me in the room to confirm that I am expecting them.  As Cindy mentioned, ”Maybe your meeting a friend , maybe it’s your daughter ……”

does have security. I think it has been awhile since you have been there becuase they have had security there for awhile now.

Yes a year or two ago you could get up to the room through the Canal Shop Level. No More ;-(

Personally I think best to avoid talking to security in any hotel . You never know what mood they are in and when they may change the rules. (as what happened at Harrah's)

Just meet the lady downstairs and walk her up OR meet her somewhere and give her your extra key OR just stay at a hotel that doesn't have security. ;-)

What ever happen to being a gentleman?

Forget the security and everything else. Meet the fine lady downstairs, have a drink and escort her to the room. Simple.

It has nothing to do with being a gentleman ......

Some men are MARRIED they can not risk being seen in public with a lady ....... and they don't (and shouldn't) have to risk that.

Also many men have bussiness associates in town usually staying at the same hotel and they don’t want to have to explain when asked …….... so who was the hottie I saw you with ??

Not everyone can risk being seen in public,it doesn’t make the guy any less of a gentleman.

I knew that really. Just wanted to time it. lmao

LOL LOL LOL

sorry I was in a serious mood when I made that post....( problems with my other job )

Now I am on my way to have some fun so my mood is lighter and full of fun.

btw Smarty I do want to thank you and tell you how much I appreciate you keeping up with the Sunday Rip Off Journal........... your the best !!!!!!

I stay at the Venetian or the Rio mostly now days! Both have security guards at the elevators but don’t seem to care as long as someone shows a key! Hell just a couple of months ago when I was at the Venetian the lady showed the back side of an out dated room key and it wasn’t even an issue!

But just to let you know I was the guy that had the problem at Harrahs!! (see post dated 5-1-06) I have never had a problem before or since at any other Casino! I just think it was bad timing by me that evening because I never thought it would be an issue!! Go figure a guy takes a lady to his room in Vegas – I’m sure that never happens!!!  LOL  If I would have just met Jessica at the bar or any place else but in front of the elevators it would have been fine!

Cindy is right on about the risks of guys in public. Some of us need to be very careful! Also I liked Miss Logan’s idea about meeting at the store. Also if your worried about giving the lady your room key you can go to the front desk and tell them that you lost one of your keys and then they will make you 2 more keys and reset the lock. So you can give the lady one of the old keys that she can keep and you don’t have to worry that she could get into your room later!

Just remember that if your key is used to open the room safe, giving the key to someone gives that person complete access to the safe as well.

I have given keys to my ATF whom I completely trust but would be wary about doing so on the first "date."

I always just meet at the coffee bean coffee shop, buy a cup O' Joe and head up...

Yes, but LaRue, who would ever suspect you of being anything but a tourist, or the wife of a tourist or conventioneer? LMAO! NOT!!!

I wonder if Kathy of 47th St. ever has any problem getting to the rooms! Lol!
