Pimps only exist because foolish girls 'pay to have a "boyfriend"'; they allow themselves to be brainwashed and compete with other foolish girls to be the best in a pimp's world...

Pimps would cease to exist if these dumb girls would stop paying them and report them.

Companions for hire commit misdemeanors; pimps are felonious dregs of society who prey on the weakest links in our subculture.  If these women reported them (there is a task force that was created a few years ago to target pimps), they would be in jail and the ladies could live their lives free as independent, strong women.

It disgusts me, but I blame the ladies.  While pimps do not "control the market" they certainly are extremely prevalent in this city as well as other large cities in the US.

Just my humble opinion...pimps disgust me and so do the "ladies" who pay them.

Do Pimps really control the market?

while a lot of what you say is absolutely true, it is not always the case.  And, I am not speaking of underage victims.  And, I am not speaking of girls who were on the streets and came from unstable backgrounds.  Though coming from an unstable background is no excuse to be a downtrodden individual.

There are many women in this business with a sad and/or heartbreaking story to share...it's what you choose to do in your life to create a positive future that counts.  Constantly choosing to play the role of a victim doesn't get my vote for sympathy, and I am definitley not a heartless person.

Unfortunately, in my time as a provider, I have had the displeasure of meeting many educated women who come from stable home environments who "choose up" with a pimp.  Why they do it? Honestly, I have no idea.  I will never understand.  And, at this point I have no desire to try to understand it anymore.  I just choose not to be around any of it or anyone who has anything to do with the underbelly of this vocation. Man, the psychology of it all is very deep, dark, and twisted.  We could chat about it until the end of time.

At the end of the day, it is called "choosing up" in their disgusting world, because a weak woman will do just that, choose to be with a pimp, put up with his abuse, compete with his other girls to make him the most money, and pay him for his brand of "love".

Because of this unfortunate element in our subculture, I keep to myself and my small circle of companions that I know for a fact are pimp free.  It stinks because I'm sure I miss out on meeting some really great woman who are also pimp free, but one can never be too careful about whom they associate with in this business.

It ain't quite that simple in most instances. Before I begin, let me state pimps are the lowest form of life on the planet and should be rewarded with unending prison rape before finally getting shived on the yard.

Pimps have a lot of control over the street trade here, and in most cities. Most of the women they "recruit" are minors or very young ladies with poor self-esteem. Many of them are addicts, frequently introduced to drugs by the pimp and in many cases have nowhere else to turn, or are too ashamed to seek alternatives because the pimp has beaten/ brain-washed them into believing that to be true. Many of them were treated like trash all their lives by members of their own families.

Yeah, I wish the ladies would grow a spine, kick the pimp/bf in the nuts and call the police. I can assure you most Vice detectives are far more interested in prosecuting the pimp than the lady plying her trade. The problem is, the ladies can't be convinced of that for a whole variety of reasons too involved to discuss here. As a result, the pimps continue to florish and ladies continue to be used and in many cases, end up seriously injured or dead.

I can't see the ladies as anything less than victims. It's heart breaking and by the time they are "rescued," they are so FUBARed by their experiences, it's hard to bring them back to anywhere close to normal.

BTW, did I forget to mention pimps should get prison raped repeatedly for months on end and then be shived on the yard?

Of course, all of what you say is true and I salute you for having the courage and character to not let yourself become a victim. That says a great deal about what kind of person you are.

a significant number of girls in fegas have pimps and not just streetwalkers.  Some of the providers on TER have pimps and it's not uncommon with agency girls.

And what is a pimp anyway?  A boyfriend or SO who lives off the provider is in some ways a pimp.  And is not an agency operating like a pimp by taking half of a girl's earnings?

Good to know metro is going after pimps.Some of stories I have heard from some ladies are stomach turning & heart wrenching.I feel so sorry for the ladies who fall for a pimps sorry ass pick up lines.
