could anyone point me to similiar places within one hour of vegas (strip)? Im hired to photograph a few models and escorts, and would like a smidge of scenary change (think swimwear and glamour nudes). Any dry lake bed areas would be cool too (that i could google for directions)

Thanks in advance,
Stu

Arizona side of Hover (about 50 miles from the strip).  It can be crowded in the afternoon and weekends - but I have found lots of privacy mid-week mornings.  Check the attachment.  Have fun!

Dear Stu, nice work/portfolio! Now, if any of your models are interested in some extracurricular activities and nice supplemental income (tax free), could you please send them to TER?

Thanks mucho!

well, if you dig deep enough, you'll find that here in your area, I have photographed Kit, Roxy & several others. I'm fairly popular in the PHX area as well (photographing escorts that is).

No, the income you are referring to is NOT tax free. The IRS will be more than happy to educate people about this- in institutional locations where room and board are provided at federal taxpayer expense. I don't think you or they would like the diet or the uniform, though. ;)

The rule of thumb is you can say "self-employed entertainer" or something like that on your tax forms (because you do not give up your right to 5th Amendment protections just because you file taxes, that's well-established legal principle)...but you DO have to tell the IRS what you made, and have the documentation to back it up, just like any other self-employed small business owner. Otherwise it's tax evasion. Plain and simple.

I too was looking for some outdoor areas to shoot in a few weeks, besided the noted locations, though not sure I will have the time to  go to the suggested area but will keep that in mind for a future shoot, so will likely just do the interior shoot in the suite I have reserved.

Have you considered Mt. Charleston? I don't know about modeling nude or swim wear there, but it may be worth a look - the temperature is usually cooler than here in town. Just do a Google for info.
