Acidom actually I have never cancelled due to a poker game if I need to leave I just leave my chips on the table and tell them I’ll be back in a couple of hours and that someone else can play over. Then when I return that person gets up and I get my seat back. I know some casinos don’t do that but the 3 I play at regularly do.

Iowa the next tournament I am playing in is in April, the 5 star world poker classic at the Bellagio the entry is $25,000. Thanks for the offer but I normally don’t play in  tournaments with less than a $1000 buy in. They are too much work for not enough prize money. I would much rather play in cash games 10/20 no limit hold ‘em or 80/160 7 card stud.

Would like to hear reasons from both sides why one would have to cancel their appointment. In Vegas, mine would be :
1. Winning big @ the tables
2. Lost big time @ the tables
3. Couldn't shake the S.O. long enough to get away, lol
4. An unexpected "rash" came up, lol
5. The BIG HEAD got in the way of the little head.

High stakes poker game and I couldn't get away!!

In my opionion there is not reason a gentleman should cancel if he actually makes it to Vegas.  The girls take the time out of their schedule to "fit" you in and you should honor that commitment.  On the ladies side she should always show up unless a dire emergency comes up, like being in the hospital.

Kadi,

Seriosly, how do you schedule around the tournaments?  Inquiring minds want to know...

4 games at Commerce this evening, I saw one hand got played and couldn't believe my eyes how bad the play was. I hear the games are phenomenal, I'm just too busy doing other things, and besides, many of these games have team play in them anyway.

Guy from second makes it $110 to go. This in itself is weird, there's no need to make it 5.5x the big blind ever. BB calls, flop comes J8s2. BB checks (another mistake, he had QT off and should have led at it), opener makes it $200. BB calls. Goes offsuit 6 on turn, check/check. Comes offsuit 4 at the river and now BB decides to fire away at the pot-with a post oak $100 bet. The opener had an easy call with 77, which was about the only play I agreed with during the hand (although check/check on turn was ok).

I am not sure why anyone would be interested but since you asked. I don’t like playing tournaments a lot, there are too many juicy live games that need attention. LOL. But I do play tournaments but mostly the BIG ones. So I always know when they are going to be and I just don’t accept appointments during that time. I will however take your name & # and give you a call if I get busted out. I also try not to take a late appointment the night before a big tournament starts because then I have a hard time getting up the next morning. I actually had my $25,000 entry paid to Fiesta al Lago tournament at the Bellagio and I overslept by about 4 hours. I am still clueless why they always start at noon when most play live pretty late.

Kadi,

Hey... next time I'm in Vegs, I would love to play poker with you.  What are the best tournaments... Any interest on a side-bet for a tournament?  Here's what I'm suggesting: we play a tournament togehter then meet after it's over.  If I last longer in the tournament, I get $100 off our time together. If you last longer in the tournament, I'll pay $100 extra. - I'll even pay your entry fee as long as it's under $100!

Besides, everyone knows that Iowan's suck at poker.

Firstly, you gave it as a reason to cancel an appointment.
Secondly, we've been email tagging, trying to schedule an appointment.
Lastly, I'd like to squirm around on a bed of poker chips with a star player, and you're cuter than Chris Moneymaker!!

Although Chris' play has improved dramatically between 2003 WSOP and the 2004 WPT Shooting Star event where he made the final table.
