First off, it depends on how soon in the future you are looking for a date. If you want one in a month or longer then you can give the lady some time to respond ( no more than 4-6 days).  
If you want a date within the next 2 weeks then you may want to only wait 2 days and if no response then you should go to your second choice. I usually have at least 2 other ladies picked out if my first choice is busy or unresponsive.

It also depends on how bad you want to see this lady. Give her more time if you have your heart set in her but be prepared to move on with some others if she is unavailable.

As for the lack of references, I know a few ladies who will not see you without a provider reference regardless of what info you will share. That is usually mentioned on their website.  Good luck!

If you don't here back within 3 days, just move on.  There are too many girls out there to worry about one who doesn't answer her e-mails promptly.  (Of course, there could be circumstances beyond her control that won't allow her to respond, but that's life.)

Now, you said "I have no current provider references."  If her screening form states that provider references are mandatory, that could be the reason why she didn't respond.  That would be the equivelent of a "no thank you" response.  Either way, it's time to move on to the next girl.

Dang! I'm bummed. I have one session set up but was sort of hoping to hear from this young lady for later on in my trip. Guess I'll send an email just to check and then move on to plan B or C
