Ok. I need to know alittle about this Race stuff.. He has some horses and we`ll be sitting in the box above the winners cirle..?? I`m feeling like Pretty Women right now.. but I already told him. I`m not into dressing up..?? and I`m going to be totally casual..?? He did say we have to dress up for this one club.. UMMMMMM. I guess I need alittle more information >> Cindy S..?? Maybe you have done something like this..? ( I know.. I won`t get drunk the first night. I`ll break him in..slowly.. Thats horsey talk.> !! LOL)>> !

if you read this ~ could you e-mail me.. and fill me in alittle..? ! THANKS for anything.. I`ve done and been around the block a time or 2~~ and yea. I`m a kind of Rodeo Girl.. not really into the Thorough-bred scene..I`ll be good in the mornings going to the stalls with him.( that sounds funny..) I love to brush and pet the horses and truly hope I hang out there. !LOL..

If he is ok you dress casual , that’s great but keep it classy casual ………..no need to overdue the cowboy stuff. Most ladies wear a sundress or jeans with a nice blouse.

Dressing up for a club………… well is it a cocktail early evening party ? then you should go classy something like a Prada dress .
If it is a dinner party you still have to keep it classy but can have a touch of sexy but not to sexy . A cocktail dress or an evening black dress should work .

Yeah and lay off the alcohol . These clubs are a very tight circle ………….. you must act like a lady . no making fun of people and being loud .

( just staying out of jail might be a good start..).. I can see it now.. I`m getting thrown out by the Bartender and the police are called, I end up kicking one of cops~~~.. they pull thier guns.. and I`m taken away in a police car.. and everyone sighs a sigh of relief. !! LMAO..GREAT choice on the Prada.. hey. do you have anything I can purchase..?? I know the guys are totally bored by all of this. !!!

.....this guy obviously hasn't spent much time, if any, around you and wants to impress some of the Socialites at the Track with a hot Babe on his arm ............which you certainly are!.....until you start getting the looks and questions unlike anything you've ever experienced here in Vegas.  Then the first drink, and before you know it, what you jokingly described above, actually happens.  You will always be my ATF.  You have some wonderful qualitites and I have terrific memories of fun times with you in many situations, but this Race Track Snobbery is NOT the place for you!

   You asked for advice here on the board..........so, mine is.......just meet the guy somewhere else, or at least before you get locked into that Cocktail Party.  Look you're better in most other situations than those people are........don't torture yourself!

Although we all know that part of your charm is just being LJ ( crazy , sexy , cool ) …………..sometimes there is a time and a place for everything.

So time to be a bit more ladylike.Yes those club people can be snobs , I am sure you can pull that off.

Just today I heard on the news this lady won a lot of money ( sorry I forgot how much I think over $100,000)  she only spent 10 cents !!!! Yep that is what they said,  10 cents . She guessed the exact order of the First through 4th place  winning horses. So the track can be a very exciting place especially if you bet on a horse and win ;-)

confess Ive not met any people in any racetrack social setting who were snobs. Ive seem some and am sure they exsit--heck just look at the Kentucky Derby attendees paraded across your TV screen on Derby Day-- These people generaly do not lower themselves to social functions in any sort of club at an actual race track. They have affairs designed for impressng each other. If they come to the actual racetrack they watch their horse race and leave(Ive seen it so many times)You probably wont have to worry about an invitaion to their affairs unless your friend belongs to the right clique..He would have told you by now if he did if he thought it would impress you.
The good news is Del Mar is a storied track where movie stars have been coming since the 30s. Its right on the ocean and advertises itself as the place "where the surf meets the turf. The atmosphere is laid back and I think Cindy's suggestions on what to wear are perfect . If it isnt F--k em! lol, they are not worth worrying about.
The Del Mar meet(thats what it's called) has a super reputation. Im sure you'll have a very exciting and intersting time if your date can clue you in on what is going on, which it sounds like he can.
Oh ask him who trains his horses(that will impress him-lol-that you know something about what is going on here) If you want to learn a little more about racing just let me know LJ. Dave
PS I know youve been this but, no, Del Mar is not the place to pound back 5 or 6 shooters before dinner lol. just relax, listen to the surf and have a drink...watch the people and the beautiful horses..dont bother with the Pick 6 Bet either unles you feel your spirit guide has given you a personal guarentee in a vision. (smile)
