It has always been obvious to me that squirting out of the urethra had to be coming from the bladder (pee). There is no other explanation for the quantity and velocity of the squirt. Now of course we all get soaking wet and have a teaspoon of female ejaculate when aroused but the true squirt, you know, the one that sprays you in the face, has no other logical explanation to it's origin and what it consists of.  
We have dissected enough bodies to know there is not a secondary compartment that fills up with some magical fluid and then dumps into the urethra at the last second with all that force.  
For New Years Eve this year I went to a swing club in Philly. They had a squirting contest. The first girl to go sprayed the entire front row. A stream of 5 ft or so. The place certainly smelled like pee after that

I am not doubting what you say but have you ever asked a doctor what is happening to you? If you are able to squirt something like the Bellagio fountain out of your vagina then you are an anomaly. We all can soak the sheets with our natural vaginal secretions but to be able to squirt that large amount with the velocity of a fire hose would take quite a storage space and a very narrow hole. And it was definitely PEE

Don't want to get in the middle of the ladies pissing match-pun intended, but here is my experience.  

I have been with two ladies (civies) that squirted. One was very limited in her sexual experience and didn't have a clue what even happened. I have often read about women learning how to squirt.  That doesn't make sense to me.  That implies that squirting is something other than part of an orgasm.  In other words, it is a gimmick.  Or just peeing, controlled or uncontrolled.

I really did not want this to be a point of contention between us girls. So I think I am getting a better handle on why this conversation is going awry. I think we are all operating from a different definition of squirting. I see now that you have put the label "squirting" on a  completely different phenomena than what is generally thought of as squirting. I think most healthy women, especially those of us who love sex enough to make it our profession, experience what you are describing. I will just speak for myself here but I am assuming I am not alone. Yes I get wet, very very wet. Yes there is a flow of juices that runs out of my vagina during stimulation. The way the tissue holds and releases water/bodily fluid is more like a rain coming out of a cloud. So yes, his balls get wet, the sheets get wet. With lots of pumping it may squish out at what seems like a splashing to some extent, like jumping in a puddle to continue the metaphor. This is not squirting. So you can't really call yourself a squirter and be legitimately describing what the guys who are seeking out squirters is looking for. If that were the case then overnight we would go from 20% of the ladies claiming to squirt to 80%. If every girl who can make a puddle is now considered a squirter then I am happy to join your club.  

Ok so what the general public is talking about when they say squirter is the girls who shoot whatever it is out of their pee hole with the velocity of a fire hose. It really seems like a party trick to me although i know it is not always something that the ladies can control.  This is the stand back 3 feet because I am going to spray you in the face kind of squirt. It is visible and it is high volume. Now it comes from the bladder and out the urethra. These are the squirters. Is it a gift? Sure, I'd sell it if I could do it.  

There is such a thing as female ejaculate. It is produced in the skene's gland and is white and measures less than a teaspoon. This could not possibly account for the quart that sprays out of the squirters.  

So, I am a lover, not a fighter. I don't want you to be upset because you don't feel like you are being heard. We are just all talking about different things. When all that stuff starts shooting out your pee hole you will then be a squirter.

This brings to mind another mystery which scientists, despite years of study, have been unable to explain:
