I am going to Vegas in 2 weeks and booked at the Palms Hotel for some fun. Any recommendation about this hotel, security for example?

Yes, they have it at the elevators at nights, because the club entrances for Ghostbar (old tower) and Playboy Club (new tower) are next to them, and they don't want crashers.

So meet your lady downstairs and show room keys to go up- should not be a problem. I really like Little Buddha (and the drinks there might suit your lady), N9NE steakhouse is pretty good. Haven't been to Alize yet.

I recommend the end of hallway rooms facing east (towards the Strip) in the new tower (Fantasy Tower, I believe. Awesome full strip view spanning a wall, the bathroom tub has jets, the room has a Bose radio (with plugin for your iPod)- I think these are actually junior suites, similar to the old tower. These can sometimes be had as an instant upgrade from a standard room by slipping the desk clerk a $20 at checkin...
