Great place to stay..I've stayed their the last 4 yrs over New Yrs..
I'm looking at it very closely for my trip because of location. But, I also want a nice room, hopefully with a fridge to store my...uhh..."refreshments."

You get a condo suite, fridge, etc. No casino, but right next to Wynn/Encore and Mirage, etc. Gret location!
The Mirage has never done it for me.
The Mirage has never done it for me.
I prefer to walk out the door and be on the strip. Otherwise I did like the looks of the hotel.
Still would like to know if the Mirage rooms come equipped with a fridge.
But from reading online reviews, it seems there is no strip view ( worth looking at ), too loud being right next to the train tracks, and a long walk to major points on the strip. Otherwise I like the looks of the rooms.
Still wondering if the Mirage rooms come equipped with a fridge, though.
Sorry for the double post !!!

I love the Mirage suites ! Spacious, great views, and right in the heart of the strip action ! Plenty of room for your Refreshments and more
I also Love the Mandalay suites !!! Very Nice, on the south end of the strip
Not sure about regular rooms. If you are not planning a suite, you should check on renting a frig.
I have the same need for a fridge when I travel which is why I usually stay at the Vdara which is centrally located at City Center and a very short walk to Aria, Monte Carlo and Bellagio, a little longer walk to Cosmo. Great rooms, if you get a suite you get a full kitchen including a full size fridge with ice maker. It's a $10 cab ride to Mirage and Ceasars.
If you get a corner executive suite you get one of the best views around. Get a high floor, the bathroom view has the Bellagio fountain.
For $25 a night you can rent a fridge at Encore.
However, the only thing Vdara may have over Trump is the location and much shorter walk to excellent casinos.
Mirage standard rooms DO NOT come equipped with a fridge.
BUT , I had gents who stayed at the mirage and needed a fridge to store medications , so the hotel supplied then with a mini fridge to their standard room.
Sometimes free of charge , sometimes with charge ........... I guess depends on the circumstances
or supply and demand
The Elara ( formally known as Westgate at PH , and is next to Planet Hollywood ) has the best fridge you can ever get in a hotel room.
Actually you get the best full kitchen you will ever find in Vegas........also washer and dryer.
Well , The property was built as a time share , not gaming hotel.
The rooms have spectacular views from the 21st floor and up. You can see Planet Hollywood,
Paris,Bellagio and Caesars . but you have to be sure to get a room that faces that side .
The floor to ceiling windows have a shade that comes down and it becomes a TV projection screen. it also has flat screen TV's incase you wanted the shades up.
If you get the one or two bedroom the room has THE BEST Jacuzzi ever !!!
Big , deep , great jets and mirrors all around ..........oh that is sooooooo hot !!!! .........
oops sorry getting side tracked ....... that room makes me so horny
I don't know what the rates are now a days on those rooms , but when it was Westgate the price for the one bedroom was around $200 , sometimes even less and it included taxes and everything
Best value ever.!!!!
The only downside to Elara, is the strict security.
When is was Westgate they had security by the elevators asking to see a room key from 10:00 pm but even then you could still get up to the room with out showing a room key.
A hello with a nice smile was enough to get by the security giard
........ or maybe it was the boobs LOL LOL
At Elara not only do you have to pass a security guard , you actually have to swipe your room key on a device to have the guard allow access to the elevators.
Which is really weird because Elara is now owned by Hilton Grand Vacations and room keys are not required to access rooms on any of their other properties .
BUT Elara is the most luxurious property that Hilton now owns ......... so maybe they are trying to go with that theme ......... This is high end , so we have security here LOL LOL LOL
Gents that need discretion , not to worry there are ways to get around all that security...........
but it is just less of a hassle to come to a hotel and go straight to the room
This concludes the scoop of the week .
Hope it helps

...properties, or at least the two that I've haunted. The HGVC at the Flamingo requires key card access to all elevators at all times but there is never security. The HGVC on the strip (across from the old Sahara) only requires key card elevator access after 10 pm. At most places, one can bypass the elevator access requirements if you know where the stairwells are. But, who wants to climb several flights of stairs in a tight dress and heels...not me! ![]()
As to refrigerators, to me, when a room is described as a suite, it implies that the room comes with a fridge of some size and a microwave, along with other amenities. If not, it ain't a suite but just a room.

When I was writing out my post , I was thinking in my head about security guards .
I think in one language and type out in English...... so sometimes my words get lost in translation
I have been only twice in my life to HGVC at the Flamingo.
Both times I just got on the elevator with other people so I didn't need a room key.
I have been to the strip HGVC probably less then 10 times in my life always before 10:00 pm .
so I never needed a room key.
Thanks for your update , always good to know .
My point was , you don't really need a room key at other HGVC properties , because there isn't an actual security guard . and there are creative ways to get to the rooms with out the gent coming to meet downstairs ...... where as at Elara there is no way around that !
I am not sure what qualifies to be called a "suite " in Vegas ...... but I think it has to do with the size of the room .
I agree with you , a suite should include fridge , microwave and other amenities ......
but hey this is Vegas , so just as I say - don't let a pretty picture fool you ,
Don't let a fancy name fool you either

I know it took time to type in all that info. For a first time visitor, it only proves how nice the ladies are in Vegas.
I'm learning more each day about "do's" and "don'ts" in Sin City. Hopefully by the time I get there I won't stick out like a sore thumb ( That is not the digit I wanna leave Vegas sore with, LOL )
Your very welcome !
Always glad to help out and share my knowledge.
Vegas ladies are the best ....... Hookers with hearts of gold
Remember Goldie from the movie Sin City ( Miller/Rodriguez/Tarantino )
Viva Las Vegas

... has nothing to do with whether or not a fridge or microwave is in the room.
I work in the hotel industry, and the definition of a suite is a room with defined and separate areas for sleeping and living. Whether or not other amenities are included doesn't really matter. For the record I've stayed at hotels that had a fridge/microwave, but the size and layout of the room meant that they were in no way a suite.
As far as Mirage, I've stayed there twice - not in the suites, but in the Tower rooms on the 24th-25th floor. Fridges aren't in those, but they're nice just the same. Security is only from 10 pm to early am, and they're pretty cool - just flash your card key. I've met ladies there without any hassles.
For almost every room type at any hotel, someone has taken the time to provide a detailed video tour. Bless their hearts.
Much regards.
Abe if you have never been to Las Vegas, these hotels are Huge.
You can easily get lost. The hotel elevators to your room are very far
from the front desk, and if you arrive during a busy time, you
can stand in line for over 30 minutes to check in. Be aware that
The Mirage is at the end of the Strip and not in the middle of the Strip.
