You can get a great deal on slices of Metro Pizza and great beer at Ellis Island. It is not a glitzy glamor place, but you cannot beat their deal on pizza and beer. It won't break your wallet!

It is off the Strip and you do not have to deal with some big crazy parking lot and it is laid back!!! I like going to the LINQ area too. Brooklyn Bowl is a great concert venue!
from their site : "Novecento means 900 and that is exactly the temperature of our Italian imported oven. Our old world pizza cooks in only 90 seconds the same as they have been cooked in Naples Italy for century's. Chef Marc personally trains Pizzaiolo (pizza makers) to replicate true artisan pizza. Neapolitan pizza is known as the healthiest, freshest, fastest in the world."
Try Rosatti's. There is one in Henderson on Horizon Ridge. They are a small chain in Chicagoland and have some frianchises scattered around the country.
We used to buy Broadway Pizza at work. It is at Charleston and Rancho which is just a bit north of the Stratosphere and west of it. I love their sausage, mushroom, green pepper, and onion pizza. They have some decent pasta dishes too, and really great garlic knots. It is a down to earth Italian place. I like all of the photos they have of New York City in there.
The area is a mix of people with some luxury homes tucked away nearby, and it is by an area where a lot of junkies hang out too. I like the Starbucks there. There are always a lot of professional people in there. I even saw Oscar Goodman at one of the stores there.
By the way if you decide to venture off of the Strip to get an actual taste of Las Vegas, the strip mall where Broadway Pizza starts winding down in the early evening. This is a greasy pizza joint, but you might find it refreshing to get away from the Strip for a brief time. It is a very busy area at lunch time, because of the numerous health care facilities nearby.
There is a Whole Foods on Charleston out towards Summerlin. I love their breakfast pizza slices. You can drive through downtown Summerlin and visit Red Rock Station casino. Go feel what it is like to be a local!!!

I went there today for lunch very good pizza and will go back. There is a semi in the middle of the place I think that's were the DJ goes to work out of
Being from NJ originally, I miss eating decent pizza around here. The place I love eating pizza when I always visit Vegas is Joe's Pizza by the Slice located by the Hard Rock. Theres a pizza place in the mall between Casino Royale and Harrahs which I tried once & wasnt bad.
