I had a long talk with eros yesterday, trying to figure out how to advertise in the saturated (esp w/ agencies) Vegas market. So different from the business cities I usually frequent, but I am here to stay, so I've got to figure it out! I like a challenge.
I know you guys use your phone a lot, it's a joke in the NY-NJ area, because the guys pull up the pics and number and just dial while they are driving! I write for the internet, and creating digital content is about brevity...our attention spans are getting shorter and shorter...same thing w/ advertising for mobiles.
I am wondering the % of guys who look at sites like eros on their phone. People seem to be using their phones more and more, but I paid large for a Mobile Spotlight ad here in Vegas a week ago and have not had response. If you do use your phone for viewing, what's your feedback on the Teaser ad and Mobile Spotlight ads?
I don't know about "teaser" or "mobile spotlight", and I rarely even look at Eros, but the overwhelming majority of my posts, emails, and searches are done on my phone. It has gotten to the point that this year, when I visited Vegas, I didn't even use my iPad. I'm considering not even bringing it next time, and just using my phone.
I know sometimes the web sites open their "mobile" version automatically. Usually that works better on a phone (hey, you know we mostly just look at the pictures and the donation page). But if doesn't have all the features I just switch to the full site. For example I always use the "full TER site" on my phone.
