What to expect during SuperBowl weekend?

Since I just moved to Vegas this Fall, I don't have any idea what to expect this weekend.  
I know it will be crazy...when do people get into town, how long do they stay, how does the betting work...etc.
I would imagine group of guys meet up from around the country.
looking for some 411!

As far as the bets ,I'm not to sure.

Large groups of guys from all over meet here for the big game. Its a great way to have some fun with people that only get to make it out during this time.

In the last few years I have seen people come just for the weekend ,then there are guys that stay for the week. You will find all different types.

Sports books fill up very fast and get all jammed up. Not the places to go to watch the Super Bowl IMO if you want to eat and drink.

Plenty of parties going on -- Several restaurants having parties such as Blondies at PH, Lavo, Pure, Rhumbar... even the strip joints. Lagasse's Stadium over at The Palazzo is also an excellent place...
