That's not bad at all. I bet they don't let you double after you split As.
I haven't seen that allowed for a long time now.
I may be attending a week conference at the Aria next month. Getting a special rate of $175 per. That said, I normal stay at the Tuscany when in town as the rooms are huge (need an orgy in one someday) and at literally half of the price. Aria wasn't open the last time I checked so I thought I would get the local opinion. Thanks for your help.
If money is no object, then yes its worth it.
But if you would rather spend your money on the ladies, why waste so much on a room.
I also like the Tuscany, and stayed there for a week earlier this year.
If your conference is being held at the Aria, them staying there will obviously mean easy access.
Its a pretty new property and is right in the center of the strip.
Personally I would only pay $175 for a room with a view, but not everyone is bothered about the view.
The bottom line is that if you are happy to spend that much money on a room, then do it.
Hi, I think it is worth 175 if you can get that great rate. Its one of my favorite casinos. It has a great vibe, great bars, great clubs, and great restaurants. The rooms are beautiful with lots of upgrades. Plus lots of hot girls!! I hope that helps! Take Care ![]()
See what you can get next door.
1. Cosmo has better room and just a crossbridge away,
2. Mote Carlo, very cheap rooms; but you can spend money of otehr things. Also MC is connected by a short covered walkway.
Do you happen to know if either/both pay 3/2 on Blackjack (6/8 decks, higher minimum bet not a problem)? Do they allow double down after split? Do they allow more than 1 split of As?
Aria - 6 deck shoes on the lower end tables but it's on the constant shuffle machines, DD is available at the higher tables, BJ pays what it should pay, yes you can double after splits, yes you can split A's more then once.
Pretty much the same at Cosmo from what I remember but I have a tendency to get a little blitzed in Cosmo for whatever reason.

I haven't seen that allowed for a long time now.
Aria and Bellagio have the best games in town, both 6D and S17 (standing on soft 17) DD (double deck) S17 games. Cosmo's $50 minimum H17 (hitting on soft 17) DD BJ game has deteriorated to 6:5 on blackjacks. The $200 DD H17 and $100 6D S17 in the HL room is still 3:2. It also has low minimum 8D H17 but I'd rather play 6D S17 at Aria/Bellagio.
They all allow double down after splits and splits to 4 hands. As for splitting of aces to 4 hands, it is allowed on 6D and 8D but not DD.
Andrew is on to something here . I stayed at the Monte Carlo.
Much cheaper and connected to Aria via walkway. Nice rooms much less and you can still gamble, eat and check out the
Great atmosphere and walk back to your room to sleep. You can get the Monaco Suite for less than the Aria if you want.
JMHO
Enjoy!!
I have been a frequent guest of the Aria. I like the poker room and the beds are very comfortable, the remainder of the property is kind of "eh".
$175 is not a very good rate. Rates are typically about $129 when I stay. For that price you could get into Venetian/Palazzo or Wynn/Encore both of which are superior properties.
Avoid the breakfast buffet at Aria.
For location the Monte Carlo is just fine and (as others have indicated) very close by. I stayed at Aria my last trip and went to Monte Carlo for my morning coffee because it was cheaper.
I have stayed at the Monte Carlo, it is perfectly adequate and cheaper. I actually like the buffet better than Aria.
The Monte Carlo is MY casita of choice in LV!! Last thing I want is all you horn dawgs honing in on my action there! Kapiche??
Well if you really feel that strongly about playing with yourself, who am I to interfere?
Ha! Ol'D ! I here ya, but I think there is plenty to go around
Just stay out of my Monaco Suites!
If you're conference is at Aria you really don't want to stay there because if you're planning on entertaining it's never a good idea to stay where 20 to 100 or more people you know might recognize you at any time of the day or night. At Aria you do realize that Hobby service requires a room card thus you'll have to come down and walk your lady or ladies through security to get to the elevators. However it's less intrusive if you take the escalator to the Promenade level and catch the elevator there.
have fun
P.S. Marquis Suite at N.Y. has a great large hot-tub
I've probably stayed at almost every nicer resort / hotel on the strip. The Aria is no doubt one of the 'nice' ones.. its new and shiny and has a metropolitan vibe. The casino is cozy and table limits are reasonable. The rooms are uber modern - with all kinds of push button controls and the view are IMHO top notch. The price you quoted isn't bad but its not great. What I usually do is book - where you pay one night deposit - then keep checking rates..they always go down before your visit - just call and they will give you the updated rates.
What I didn't like about the Aria - the restaurants are very very good.. but over priced and small portions. They try too hard to be modern. For instance first night there I was solo.. went to the sushi place.. between two small rolls and a small (about the size of the palm of my hand) noodle dish i dropped $110, thats with no booze. And i was hungry again about 30 min later - the food quality was excellent. After I gamble or before I go out I love to hit the casino lounge / bar and people watch and have a few drinks - but the Aria is severely lacking any good lounge - there is one small lounge but its not really great. Typically most casino lounges, think Mandalay, Wynn, Bellagio etc.. have great lounges, great places to people watch and plenty of providers to watch operate.. not the Aria.
The Aria would be in my top 5 - but towards the bottom.. for overall classy Vegas experience.. I would do the Wynn then Bellagio and Mandalay (which has dropped IMHO) and the Venetian. And this comes from a guy that won't it pretty big last time at the Aria - so that should speak volumes.
You can't go wrong with any top tier place you stay.. just relax and enjoy vegas wherever you stay..
