If you can get a red room suite end of hallway its not bad at all. The big plus for me was the mini bar is now converted to be a fridge for your personal use. Its the only time I have stayed at one of their properties before so I cant compare it to the others. And no issues with security along the way

I have a free room available at Flamingo, The Linq, Harrahs or Ballys, Discounted room at Paris or Planet Hollywood. Whats the best option?
Planet Hollywood or Paris Paris has Napoleons piano bar which is fun Planet Hollywood has the Miracle mile shops Both have good restaurants and the rooms are clean and comfy. The Ling is okay too Have a great time where ever you stay
If you are offered a free room at Flamingo make sure its the NEW rooms I had a new room there recently which was quite nice (I like Flamingo for photography due to their white bedheads)....and when I extended my stay they moved me to a different room... when I arrived to the second room it was an old room an I mean OLD.. it was so horrid I refused to stay in it.. packed my bags and left.
The linq has nice rooms although most Ive been in are quite small/ cramped with not much a view (if any.. some have no view just an opposing wall) I should also say that every single time I have been to the Linq the hallways absolutely reeked of Marijuana. While Im sure this is no concern to many, for those who dont smoke (or those like me who are extremely sensitive to marijuana - second hand smoke can stop my heart) it's worth a mention. harrahs/Ballys.. a little outdated
personally I'd stay at PH
... my reason for not liking Paris would not apply to you: They have cobblestone floors which makes walking in heels a nightmare :-P

There are so many uneven floors and sidewalks in Vegas too
To answer the original question I would pick PH or an updated room at the Flamingo. Have to agree about The Linq. Rooms are newer but very cramped and the hallways do seem to reek of marijuana.

Casinos consult with specialty psychologists for their architecture, interiors, exteriors. Thats a well known fact.
I think I have figured the reason behind why all the casinos have horribly paved entrances: Ladies would rather stay inside than walk out (and we all know if you keep lots of pretty ladies around it attracts men.. the same as the psyshcology behnd Ladies' Night at bars) Same for the strip... the walks are long and horrible.. so you won't want to walk the distances over akward terrain.
Casinos will do anything to keep you inside.
anyway a little off topic but it does drive me nuts (I now carry a pair of flats in my handbag)
