I am rrrrrealy in the mood for some great Sushi!! Can't wait to see you too!!

I will be in Vegas next week and would love some recommendations from the locals for restaurants. What are some great places for Sushi, French food and something spicy like Indian or Mexican?

Thanks!

then... On doing some research I see lots of French food. Anyone been to Alize? Or Pamplemousse?

And Sen of Japan gets top marks for sushi on Yelp. Any other recs?

Near The Palms on Flamingo. It is called Yonaka. It is amazing! Beats out my second favorite, Blue Ribbon. I will take you there when you visit. I can't wait to see you and catch up.

I dined at Alize a few years back.

Wonderful service, great views of the strip from the 56th floor restaurant and excellent food.
Unfortunately I cant comment on the French food they serve, because I had American...LOL.

I started with a lovely refreshing glass of sparkling champagne.

While I was perusing the menu the waiter brings me a basket of assorted breads and a small dish
with something on that came with the compliments of the chef, which was quite tasty, whatever it was.

My appetizer was the Phyllo wrapped, baked Anjou Pear and Roquefort cheese with blueberry vinaigrette.

For my entree I choose the Pepper crusted filet mignon with potato souffle, cremed leeks and cognac creme sauce.

And for my dessert I had Pistachio profiteroles, on a bed of chocolate orange sauce, and something crunchy on top I cant recall the name of.

The waiter came back after a while and offered me a second glass of champagne on the house, which I accepted, and enjoyed.

The matradee saw me writing something in my little book from the menu, and brings over a menu and says I can have it, which I thought was a really nice gesture.

Over all it was one of the top three dining experiences of my life, and I highly recommend this place.

Below is my appetizer...

Mmmm!! Sounds delicious. I will have to give it a go. I ate their years ago, and liked it because of the view, but things change so much with restaurants that you never know. Nice to have a recent good experience! And your appetizer looks yummy. Thanks, John!

I like Kabuki for sushi there is one located in town square las vegas blvd south and one in tivoli village.
I have also eaten at Nobu sushi Hard Rock hotel the food was good but Kabuki has them beat just my opinion.
French food I went to the Eiffel Tower restaurant at the paris hotel the food was good my first time trying escargot..whoa that was an experience:)
Mexican food I go to Michochan lindo I think that is how you spell it there are a couple of locations off the strip East desert inn and the other location is flamingo/twain

Thanks, Jaydalee! Kabuki looks great- I'll have to try that too. Not sure I am ready to try escargot just yet...lol! But I have heard decent things about the Eiffel Tower restaurant. Thanks also for the Mexican recommendation! We do have good Mexican food in Tampa but I think it is way better in the west coast. (Although we'll have to see if Vegas Mexican can beat Taco Bus here. Lol!!)

Thanks again for the recs! xo

Ohhh will have to try Kabuki next go around!

Lino Michoacan is the go to place.
