I stayed in Rush Tower as well.. Yes, The elevators, as we like to call them in the US, do need keys.
Kind of an odd question.. You get keys from the front desk. You can get multiple if you want to give one to the provider... Not sure why you are asking this..
Yeah good.. I figured you were either Aussie or British. That's a good tower to stay. You can actually get some sleep at night. You barely hear any music It's a little bit further away... Also, don't hurt yourself getting in and out of the shower.. You will know what I mean when you get to your room.. LOL.
Yes you do need a key for elevator. Meet your date at the elevators or better yet at the Chart House restaurant bar that is right next to the Rush tower. Very good food and clean restaurant. Fyi..some of the rooms face Fremont ST Experience and you can hear the bass from the music going on down there. So if you are a light sleeper or go to bed early you might want to think twice of getting room that faces Fremont st experience.
