Harrah's does not manage Binions.  Harrah's owns the rights to the name "World Series of Poker."  That was the whole reason for them buying Binions, then turning around and selling it to MTR Gaming (which, as Kadi stated, also owns the Speedway Casino).  Harrah's didn't include the rights to the name "World Series of Poker" in the sale.

Is there any 3:2 Blackjack left downtown?

I heard Binion's has the 6:5 atrocity. That's, like, a sign of the End Times or something.

I remember the Horseshoe (as it was called) had single desk Blackjack as far as the eye could see, and you could walk into the place with a computer strapped to your back and they just wouldn't care. And if you tipped the cocktail waitress $25 she'd come back to your room for a full 2 hour GFE. And cherubs and pixies would help you dress in the morning and the breakfast buffect cost ten cents.

Well, OK, maybe time exaggerates things, but you know what I mean.

They sold it a week after they bought it. It is now owned by Speedway

Naughtiness

Kadi is right that Harrah's doesn't have ownership but I do think they do manage it!!! That's why the WSOP was at the Rio!! And I can tell you the Rio was crazy!!!!!

Christ, I'll have to pack my hazmat suit.

El Cortez is OK, I guess.

I saw some on the cheapo site, but I'm never sure how up to date those entries are.

Oh, the Binion family very much would care if you were counting, steering, spooking, or any of those other lovely tricks associated with blackjack. Most computers were operated inside shoes, BTW.

Binion's is owned by MTR, aka Mountaineer Gaming, who also own Speedway in Norte Las Vegas. Actually, the blackjack was very good there for a while this summer.

I have little to add other than that is the most hilarious depiction of the 'good ol' days' I have ever seen.  I actually got misty eyed, thank you.
