I was starting to think that you fell in...

I've been aproached by a casino host. What is that? Anyway. Can someone school me on that  type. He sounds like a con/ cop. Am I wrong. I don't want to be mislead. I am naive on this subject. Basically he's promising the world and then some. I'm not buying his weak approach. What i really want is advice on how to handle this fly by night salesman. Anyone?

The first rule for you is if something seems wrong and dosent sound right it probably is.
Casino hosts are employees of casinos or independent contractors. There are quite a few people who do this as a career..on the TV show Las Vegas an actress "Sam" plays one.

Its their job is to make sure their clients (i.e. gamblers) are taken care of and have a good time in the casino in which they are working or have an agreement with. This applys to their friends and family too if they are with them on their visit. Shows, a better suite or room, meals tours whatever. Its the casino hosts' job to make it happen.

Some casino hosts can make a lot of money as they may share in the casino winnings. There are books writtten on the subject..very interesting career but with little job security. lol

Now about your situation. What is being asked of you? Ask him/her who his employer is. Be careful as casinos would be very nervous promoting  something which would bring attention to themselves in a negative way. Any casino host (unless they are new or really stupid) knows this so if youre being approached to do something illegal tell them you are not interested and run.
There is a creap who, from time to time, has run a scam on girls claiming to be employed by celebrities etc. making big time promises. This is a scam but I cant recall the details. I hope someone here will remember and can tell us what he was doing.
In the meantime go slowly..share the details here or send me a private message if you like.
Hope this helps Sweetie.

I wonder if this is the same guy who claims to be setting up a date for the famous poker player Johnny Chan! He pulls this scam on almost every new girl on this board. I can't remember all the details, and they change a little bit every time, but it is always something like a week long date for which he will pay ten or eleven grand. But first he needs you to send something to him via Western Union or something! Does that sound familiar, Columbian Beauty? That is a total scam, and I hope no one ever falls for it, but it must work for him sometimes, or else why would he still be doing it?

BTW, Johnny Chan himself, who is a real person, has nothing to do with that scam. I'm sure he would like to put a stop to it as much as the girls who are the targets of this con artist, whoever he is!

How should you handle him? Well, the easiest way is just to ignore him. He can be persistent, though, so you would probably hear from him again, but you can still ignore him. How about this? If he is a casino host, he must have an office in a casino, right? Try to set up an appointment with him in the "privacy" of his office to take care of the details in person, instead of any other way. That should shut him up, I bet! But I wish I could think of a way to "con the con man", and get him arrested for pulling this scam every chance he gets!

This guy has called EVERYONE. And most of the girls were smart enough to track down an actual VIP host Alan who is not the same guy and knows nothing about this. Instead of believing the guy right away most girls called the Hotel to ask for this so called VIP host called Alan. He is quite upset that every girl in town is calling the Hotel for him because it isn't him.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.  It's amazing that people get entertainment out of doing this to the girls.

First off, Sswede is right, if it feels like a cop/con, then stay away. You can never go wrong with being safe. That being said. I would not let this person have anything to do with you. Most casinos are now owned by a major corporation, and if word got out that they were offerring illegal services here in town, then they would be putting their gaming license in jeopardy. I am not naive enough to believe that this doesn't happen, but do you want to put yourself at risk for them? I wouldn't. My advice is to stay away.

A modern casino host is way different from the old school mob type hosts.

I doubt that any casion host in these corporate owned hotels will try to set up escorts for their guests. They will not risk losing their jobs or their gaming license.

If something sounds to good to be true - then it probably is.

It is very simple,if you don't want to get conned, never pay money upfront to anyone.
They should pay you upfront,CASH only.
No cashier's check!
never trade your services for promises, or actually never trade your services period!!

How to handle him ? don't answer his emails, don't take his calls.

Hope this helps

Actually I know of one special lady who does a majority of her business through the host system.  She introduced me to one of her hosts (which works at a very high end casino)

So as long as their are whales needs to fill ... hosts will try their best to fill them ... as for this situation always move with caution.

I was starting to think that you fell in...

Well high rollers who have contacted me, I asked them if they have seen escorts before.
They tell me - My casion host used to hook me up,but they no longer provide this service.

So maybe it depends on the host, maybe it depends on the type of "whale".....although they were pretty big whales at very high end casions.

point is, be careful when someone claims to be a Casion Host or Limo Driver.

one of my old buds was a casino host in Tunica with a high end casino corp which also had LV properties.  He did this regularly in Tunica, it was the thing they all did according to him.  A couple of years ago he transferred to Vegas.  In Vegas he was caught and fired.  Funny thing was his high roller he was finding escorts for was a woman.  He got caught because eventually the high roller started demanding that he f*ck her and his wife caught them and put the dime on him.

Live by the sword, die by the sword.  LOL
