Over a week ago about an upcoming trip to Chicago and I tell her I would like to see her for two hours.  I tell her my plane arrives around 3:30pm.  I get an e-mail saying from her that she will be returning to Chicago on December 7th and leaving the next morning.  

Yesterday I text and ask her if she is leaving Chicago on December 8th.  She states no on the following day.  She has me penciled in for a 4pm appointment, and I tell her I cannot make it that soon.  She states nothing past 8pm, and I said maybe we ought to not worry about meeting because I cannot predict any delays I might encounter travelling into downtown Chicago from O'Hare airport.

She tells me that is less than 24 hours notice and she wants a $400 cancellation fee.  I told her I was not going to pay that, because I had e-mailed her yesterday and this morning and she does not tell me until today that she does not read her e-mails, but that her e-mails are read by her assistants.  Oh it is 5pm in Chicago and so my notice is late due to the change in time zones.

Personally I think she ought to read her e-mail once in a while, or she could have texted me and tried to narrow a time down long before this

At least two days prior to today stating I did not want to set a time until I was at the airport and I had all of my things together.  Her assistant does not even bother to send these communications to her, and I am basically told I am an asshole for cancelling.  Would you want to say to someone that I will definitely see you at a certain time, when your plane is arriving in mid-afternoon in Chicago and it will take at least an hour to get out of the airport.  The reverse rush hour in that town can be horrendous, and I did not even know until yesterday she was going to be in the downtown area that day.  

At least I got a text from another provider saying do not stop seeing women because of her attitude.  So for all of you ladies using assistants remember the little things go a long way when dealing with your clients

I e-mailed her about not wanting to set a time until I was on the ground, and I had all of my stuff with me.  There was no response to my e-mail.  Her assistant must have been on a bender

Search the ad board as you're departing the airport and waiting for a cab / rental.

That she put the blame on me.  I told her I was visiting from 12/08 to 12/13, and she replies I can only see you on the 8th.  I promptly respond to the e-mail stating not to pencil me in for a time, and I would text her after my arrival to see if we could get together.  I told her my plane was not arriving until 3pm or thereabouts.  No response to my e-mail, and I get an e-mail from an agency to see her or other women in downtown Chicago on December 6th, and then she texts me saying I have you down for 4pm on December 8th on December 7th.  Who cares now, but these women talk to one another and I have been subjected to their criticisms before.

Her booker quite possibly was more concerned with keeping her busy to get her own cut than planning is concerned.  

(what I wrote is pure conjecture, only her booker and the lady in question have all the answers.)

It happens. (sad to say)

Move on and if possible fond someone who deals with their clients fully indy.
Theres lots of ladies on her who do.
