And here is my holiday poem

There are sooo many names on the list,
But some local friends, it looks like I’ll miss,
Please reconsider,  
It’s my Halloween wish.
And for ladies attending, please consider this:

Even though it will be, just hours of few,  
Forever I’ll remember my evening with you.  
To remember me, the ride home will accompany you,  
An envelope of roses, crisp and new.

And if I go home with her and not you,
Please remember,
I’m looking for a date on Monday too.

 
And Wednesday.

Maybe Thursday (depends on Wednesday).

I was a Scout leader.  I had an "older Scout troop" made of of teenagers, mostly delinquents, girls and boys ( for real they got that now).  They had a Halloween party every year, and each year the girls all dressed as hooker, or at least as slutty as the law allowed. They weren't allowed to dress like that on camping trips, meetings or other social events, but we allowed it at the Halloween party.

One year some of the other adult leaders and myself we talking with a few of the girls an we asked them, "do you just use this party as an excuse to dress like hookers once a year". They all looked us and said, "yeah, duh".

I loved those parties, but I was never allowed to dance with the girls.  The mom's yeah, but I always got yelled for "looking too much" at the girls.

I was a one night stand. The following year I was the walk of shame. My friend asked me what the difference was.. I just said whatever, it's Halloween!

The year before I was white trash. It was awesome. Pregnant, carrying twin babies.. One white, one black. I had a flask and a cigarette pack in a hair band on my arm.. My other arm had the stencil of a tattoo.. It was a heart with Billy then scratched out to say Bobby. I had a black eye, smeared red lipstick, ripped fishnets, jean daisy dukes and my key ring was a bottle opener.

I lived in Austin at the time. It was my favorite Halloween ever! :)
