I spent a couple of days with Sierra in LV for my Feb. birthday, and had the opportunity to celebrate hers for 3 days in my “neck of the woods.”  Flew her west to have fun in a city we both enjoy and had a tremendous time!  We went fishing (she reeled in two 34-36 inch beasts), saw a new movie (she loves nachos!!!) and took in some tourist favorites.  With each visit, I honestly have a difficult time deciding which I enjoy more, seeing her having fun at some things she doesn’t get to do often, or our playtime.  Maybe a silly question, except for the friendship we share.

We have talked about many subjects when we’re together, some on “heavy” topics, and I have always believed Sierra to be honest with her opinions and interested in mine.  One of the things I admire most about her is her insight into human nature and her respect for other’s views.  Part of Sierra’s enjoyment this visit was that she did not have to worry about a relationship at home.  There are many stories of the “guy gets dumped by the girl” and now I know that the “girl gets dumped by the girl” can happen too.  We spent some time talking about what happened to her, concluding that this was another life experience from which to grow.  She seems excited to put that in the past and is anxious to meet new men and women, which was a good news/good news moment for me, because she had the relationship issue off her mind and the whole thing did not detract from us having another great few days!

I’ve said before that I could not imagine a better multiple day companion than Sierra and this experience only reinforced that--for me, she’s simply one of a kind!
