I think that it depends on the situation. If a provider is touring, than incall is expected. If a provider is working from home city (especially a tourist city), then outcall is pretty standard.
with conventions generating much of the out of town visitors, most guys attending conventions are staying on the strip. Many fly into Vegas and don't rent cars. Outcall is their preferred type of date.
Why don't you check out the top Vegas provider's profiles, I think you'll see most only offer outcall. Also take a look at the daily new reviews for Vegas, most of them are outcall as well. I wouldn't worry about the occasional hobbyists who prefers incall. Stay within your comfort zone, if you're not comfortable doing incall, than don't offer incall.
Some definitions seem in order. Outcall is when the girl comes to your room. Incall is when you go to the girls place. It refers to the woman, not the man, as one commenter mistakenly used it. If you live in Las Vegas and have a significant other (SO) at home you may prefer incall, even if that SO is out of town or whatever. I mean who wants to be surprised when the SO returns home early unexpectedly? Or maybe she is having someone watch your house while she's away neighbor or professional detective). I know lots of Providers that charge less for incall (Suzie of TER), more convenience for them, less for you. Even if you are only visiting Las Vegas, I know some guys prefer incall because they are sharing the room. Some Providers have their own "situation" at home (Parents, boyfriend etc.) and can only do outcall. Also some Providers do not want their customers knowing where they live. There are crazy men who are stalkers, want to pimp them out, or are dangerous. Providers could always rent a room, but this only becomes financially smart if they are seeing more than one customer that day, or if the customer is "high-end". Also rooms are pricey in Las Vegas on Fri and Sat.
first not sure why you were responding to shillbill? It seems your comments were directed to the OP or to others, but yoru reply was under bill. Second, who the heck was confused about what incall and outcall referred to? Didn't see any confustion in this thread. Third NO provider should offer incall at her home! fourth, shillbill and some ohters are correct that in tourist cities outcall is usually preferred and most of the top ladies in vegas do not offer incall. In other cities, incall may be a lot more important.
To me it can go either way. I like incall because many providers are more comfortable on their home turf. When the provider is more comfortable you will be more comfortable. Note, when a provoider charges a higher price for outcall this shows a level of discomfort. Many of the premium providers withhold incall information till after you are verified through P411, DateCheck White List ect. If you tell them you are local and check out many of them will work with you for incall.
I also like incall because the ambiance, music, lights and surroundings, is set and sometimes that adds a nice touch.
Out call can be nice because you choose your surroundings and less transport problems as long as the provider is willing to work with a local not on an expence account and in an effort to get an offstrip property, sorry, I do not care for the strip. Confusion has come up in the past because of security issues weather percieved or real. I set up an outcall at the Hilton then some one told her security was bad there so I was supposed to go out and look for security cameras and guards. It got so complicated I cancelled and went to sleep.
