I had a recent experience with a very well reviewed provider that crystalized my opinion of YMMV.  I can see how and why other hobbyists would rate her high.  However, my experience was well below average. I decided, instead of trashing her with a bad review, I would ask the board a question; Have you ever had an experience that you were hoping was going to be great…and it just wasn't?

Anyone can have an "off night", as the acronym states, "your mileage may vary".

My advice, tell the story, but no need to trash her. Just tell the story. Just because it USALLY doesn't happen with others, doesn't mean it didn't happen to you.

Maybe it was an off day, one of a kind, in which case a single event won't affect the next fellow's judgement when he's looking over yours and future scores anyway.  

Maybe, however, it's the beginning of a new trend in someone. If you don't mention it, and then the next guy doesn't mention it, and so on - there's a lot of folks can get burned down the road. And you're going to be partly at fault for not telling the story fairly and honestly. If not, even letting it pass sends the lady a message too, you know.

 
So - there's consequences to every occasion. Hell, I fuck up on the job sometimes, and it goes against me if I do it often enough. If my mood isn't right at the wrong time, some exec or a client is going to call me out on it. That feedback is what makes me better at my business. It's healthy, and it's no different just because someone's working in an alternative career.  

Just state the facts of the date without passing judgement, and it'll all sort out well in the long term. Of course, she'll never see you again, but there's no reason why you would ever want her to anyway - So many fish in the sea. Do what you meant to do when you scheduled the date and write a review.

I still prefer not to name names, but she currently has straight 10's as a rating with 14 reviews.  A rising star on TER.  

She showed up wearing a sweat suit, straight from playing poker.  That night, she seemed much more interested in her poker playing than in her role as a provider.  As a result, she seemed to just be there for the money.  Possibly recovering losses.

I experienced none of the details described by others, especially the "intellectual discussions".  No lingerie, smelled of smoke, raided the mini bar,etc..

She was pretty, however not the firm bombshell described.  Again, YMMV.

although those bad reviews are not always appreciated by the Providers. Some Providers will try every trick in the book to convince TER that the bad review is invalid and that it should be removed. And once in a while TER will even remove it. So the number of bad reviews you see is diminished because of 2 reasons: Guys like you who are too chicken to post them, and because TER occasionally gets bamboozled by the Providers into removing them.

I can't recall anyone ever saying YMMV with me as I am pretty much who I am at all times but I could imagine with some of the girls that I know here in Vegas who have strong personalities (and I love them for it) but maybe there is just sometimes when it doesn't gel… I would just put it down to experience and not write a bad review…

Girls are very dependent on their reviews for business. And this is our business. Please don't jeopardize it! Thank you!!! And yes… we are emotional creatures with "other" lives so maybe it was just an "off" day for her… I would say give her the benefit of the doubt.

But as your post said, it is more about finding out whether others in this hobby have had an experience that they were hoping would be great but wasn't…

That's a tough one… I imagine it happens more often than not as expectations do run high but personalities do vary and physical chemistry is hard to predict

If a lady refuses to kiss you yet you have brushed your teeth and she kisses everyone else.. Or anything else amongst that nature then it's kinda fair game to write about it. At least that's how I feel..

We won't all click.. We will click well with others.. I mean, today I walked in to a room and my awesome date was wearing a tshirt of a band that I saw over the summer at a festival so I knew we were going to insta click.. Sometimes that just happens. Sometimes guys will think a girl is too bubbly.. Or too relaxed.. Or whatever.. That's where it's a grey area.. But if we don't provide what we do to everyone else and you are at no fault.. I think that's fair game for a review.  

That being said.. Everyone knows that we all have good days and we all have bad days. Both awesome reviews and horrible reviews should be taken for what they are worth. Someone's perception of an experience put in to words.

Not every guy is going to get along with every provider.
Did she deliver service as promised on time?Did she look like her pics?If so maybe it is just a case of you guys not clicking

I got plenty of spice advice , regarding what YMMV or Off Day means and it is more then things already mentioned here    ,it will be long , so it will have to wait until I have more time .

Either way it is always good to sit on things a few days .  
Not only reviews , anything in life .
consider the positive and negatives .

Then sit back again , step outside your self and look for the answer from the outside in .
First from a negative space .
Meaning from the place ( your feelings )  you are in right now .  
disappointed , hurt , anger, confusion .....
well we know the answer to that - it will make you want to write a negative review that is going to piss off the provider and at the end of the day probably add no value to you  her or the community .  

Then try to come from a positive place . ( positive feelings ) understanding,  compassion , patients.
how will the review look now .??

Now look at both reviews . Which review sounds more honest .
which of the reviews will truly add value to help the community ? or will it add any value at all ?
Maybe it will , maybe it wont . Only you can make that choice .

You can write an honest review , with out being unkind or judgmental.

Now for me personally a lady showing up in sweats is a deal breaker.
I would never do that .  ( if I have an overnight , I may leave in sweats , but gent will know about that )  
Not judging  other ladies ., that is just me and how I am for MY business .

but I have had gents tell me many times - oh it's ok , I am fine with that .
I still didn't do it.  
I know of other ladies who have came wearing sweats, cause gent said it was ok , but later gent complained about it .
So please be sure to be honest with yourself what really really happened .
as we know , there is your side  , her side and then the truth .  

Stepping outside yourself away from the disappointment and hurt will bring you very close to the truth

You say she showed up in sweats ...... but was the appointment booked in advance or last minute ?
cause if it was last minute  , it may make more sense why she showed up in sweats.
Do you see the difference of what I mean prospective place one comes from ??  

Of course if it was me , well I most likely wouldn't agree to such a last minute call .
but many ladies do . if I did - I would tell the gent hey I am around the corner , I am playing poker  
I am in sweats does that work for you ? Then there would be no disappointment .

This is just an example . Now take each disappointment and dig deep ....... you will be surprised what you may find .  
If you found nothing , well maybe it is time for that honest review .

Or maybe this will just be a teachable moment to someone else , for something else .

Did you ask for lingerie?

This sounds like a little more than "not connecting".  

Look, you hired her to perform a service. It doesn't sound like she "performed", she just went through with it. You pay her to be a fantasy, not a crappy girl friend looking for a free drink and a place to crash. Would you see her again if she changed?

There have been several examples on this board where hobbyist have had these experiences, expressed their disappointment and the providers have "made good" at another session.  

You can post and honest review, not mean or negative, but with realistic numbers, if the provider offers to make it up on another session, if you post another review your first review is automatically removed.  

But to be honest, it takes guts to post a bad review, and to make this post. More guts than I got.

I have had more than I can count and have written hundreds.
When I received my perf reviews, I wanted to know what my boss ( the guy paying me)  thought I did well and what I needed to improve.  
When writing reviews I tried to be as objective as I possibly could and be very clear what I thought was done well and very specific where I thought improvement could be made.  
Am I wrong, or is that we are trying for here?  
The providers who put themselves on this forum are doing it for business purposes. I doubt if there are many that want reviews purely for self-esteem.  So, why would you not describe your experience?  If you were the boss and an employee showed up for work, and wasn't able to do their job to your satisfaction, would you say nothing or give them feedback? If you write an accurate review and it stings the lady a bit, will she take it to heart and never do that again, or just say "fuck him" ?  Would an office employee ever do that? You bet your ass.  
Sorry folks, didn't mean to turn this into a rant.  Just don't get me started on the ratings numbers. Ha

just remember if all she has all 10/10 reviews, she'll probably say the date never happened. So write with as much detailed as possible. What color were the sweats, and anything else you can remember.  Also if you have saved any of the communication between the two of you before the date, it will help you prove you saw her, if TER inquires.  

I agree every person getting paid should have a job review .
BUT the difference is when your boss reviews you , he is giving you the chance to improve .
He doesn't take away your income , or lower your income ( does he ? )  
If after a certain time you don't improve , maybe you will get fired .
If you want to keep your job , or one day get a raise , or advance your position  
of course you will improve.  

With an escort , that "bad review" effects her income right away and maybe even forever even if she does improve.

Maybe here is a thought. When she showed up in sweats and that already wasn't working for the gent . He should send her away . Explain kindly what he was expecting , what he already didn't get  
and maybe that will make her think what she already needs to change and improve
Not saying this way can work 100% , it is just a thought .

BTW  actually there are escorts out there that want reviews purely for self esteem .
ridicules  , but it is out there .  
Many people in life , seek validation and self esteem in the wrong places . What can you do ?

A search for a provider with all  10's as described led to a website announcing her retirement from escorting.  If she is the same one the experience must have even equally disappointing for her.

Obviously, we "mongers" are curious as to just who you are referring to.  I'm not finding a "rising star" with 14 reviews that include a string of 10/10's.  And there's only 1 with 15 reviews that might fit that parameter, but I know it's not her.  Now, I'm not questioning your statement per se.  But this "hobby" of ours is fraught with accusations and innuendos all too frequently.  IMO, you owe it to the community to "come clean" and write a review.  Go ahead and use your alias if you prefer.  I really don't care; but the fact is, the use of an "alias" to post your experience just doesn't garner as much "cred" as one posted by someone with a known review history on here.    

Yes, indeed, there are sessions that simply result in "shit happens".  There are a few ladies on TER that have rather significant strings of 10/10's....rather "suspect" if you ask me.  And that's not a "put down" of those ladies at all....they're obviously quite stellar providers.  But that's a whole 'nother subject.  

So my point is, there's a very strong likelihood that a gal or two may inadvertently suffer from "speculation".  Unintended consequences if you will.   So I urge you to do the "right thing" now that you've "stirred the pot" so to speak.  Write the review.  Let the chips fall where they may.

These reviews are for us hobbyists!  TER and all other review boards were established for us mongers as our way of "kicking the tires" so to speak.  Indeed, there's a general correlation between a gals overall "rating" and her ability to "stay employed" by us mongers.  Everyone can have a bad "hair day".......Holy Shit!  Ask Peyton!!!  What's HIS overall rating in his profession??  

It's a tough tough TOUGH market out there in this hobby world.  The ladies have to really be on their "game" for every session.  We mongers don't!  Its just the way it is.  But if indeed the OP's experience was as stated, then there's no reason NOT to write a review.  One "off day" review shouldn't affect her.  In fact, it may serve as a "wake up call" for her to think twice before showing up to an appointment as seemingly "unprepared" as the OP indicated.  Otherwise, she may think it was "no big deal" and do it again.   At the risk of sounding "cold", we mongers expend serious "coin" for our erotic pleasures.  I've no problem with that.  But it's discretionary spending and we all want to get the value for our buck.  Cold harsh reality check, I know.  It's why we're here on this site.

Maybe I am not communicating my thoughts correctly .

First off , I don't agree with having an off day ...... and while yes anyone can have a bad hair day ,  
a pimple , a rash ....... it even happens to a super model .  
She is human . No one can look perfect all the time , but she damm may try her best to look close to perfect .  
I agree a lady should be on top of her game . Just as expected from a model who goes to work .

When people in general say  - 'well maybe she is having an off day ,  
I don't agree with that.
Gents are spending hard earn money . If a lady is having an off day ...... maybe best she take a day off .

I agree a hobbyist doesn't have to be on top of his game .
But if I offer a certain service , lets take kissing as an example .
If the gents breath isn't fresh . If I see a sore around his mouth . If he is coughing and hacking .
I dont have to provide that service .
 
Just because a gent is paying top dollar that doesn't guarantee he gets to do whatever he wants or whatever he read in a "fictional review "
Especially if it is something that may be putting my health at risk ...... including getting sick with the flu. cause no one is paying me for sick days    

If there is something certain that is soooo important to the gent .
Something that is an absolute deal breaker , then he should communicate his wants ,needs and desires to the provider of choice .
Not base choice because they read a "fictional/fantasy  review "about it somewhere .  
I am the ONLY one who decides what works in the session . Then you can decide if that works for you and if you want to spend your hard earned dinero on me . or find someone who better suits you and your needs .
This way disappointments don't happen .  
This is why MY sessions meet peoples expectations and then some .

With my first TER lady, no less. Damn near gave up on the hobby at that point. I waited a month or so, then wrote my review. You can be honest and fair without being mean. She's a beautiful woman, she just didn't like me at all and it showed. 9/7, until I was pressured to make it a 9/8 (I was new and she was my only reference). Haven't seen her since, but I notice 1 out of every 15 guys or so has a similar experience, with the rest leaving glowing reviews. I've had better luck since then.

And you're spot on about the guy having to "be compatible" for certain activities.   Butt, I'm curious, since we've not sessioned, who ya been talking to about me being "too big"???  

I agree it is not exactly apples to apples. It is more like hiring a contractor. If your experience is positive you may hire the contractor again and provide references for his/her future business. If your experience is negative, you won't want to hire that person again and will not give out referrals to your friends. In the case of a contractor or an employee a bad review can affect their income right away. I have given poor performance reviews that negatively impacted the person's income for the next year. That employee could improve every aspect of his performance during the next year and he was still going to earn the same income until his next review. A provider may lose some business in the short term but still improve her income by getting very good reviews by heeding the unhappy client's remarks and "fixing" her "shortcomings".  
Now, let's all talk about the poor communication that took place and allowed the client to be unhappy without telling her right on the spot.  Just kidding.  
Total agreement about the self esteem. It is  "self "  esteem after all.

She he has removed one of her reviews as of today, after this post appeared. She NOW has 13 reviews (All 10/10's), instead of the 14 reviews at the start of this post. Her website also indicates that she is now retired from escorting.

It's a very interesting case. As the guys have said, it's valuable information, but who knows. We've all been subject to someone's bad day either in this hobby or in real life.

Good point. That's why I suggested there is valuable information here. At the very least, he should let the provider know he was not pleased.
