How much does hotel location/class matter to providers?

don't be a cheapskate, book a room on the internet, so you don't have to stay at a second tier strip hotel, like the ones you mentioned. Hotels like Mandalay Bay, The Hotel, Belagio, Ceasars, The Hard Rock etc can all be had for less than you think. Even the Wynn and Encore, if you hit it right can be had for a good price. The fav at the moment is the Cosmo, but not sure if you can get a deal on line. There are a number of  threads about hotels  on the Vegas board. Matter of fact, one provider did refuse to see someone at a second tier property. Most providers will go to the places you mentioned, but do yourself a favor and book at a nice place.

if you mentioned a location.  From what you said, it sounds like Vegas.  If that is the case, you should post this on that board, rather than here.  If it's not, post it on the regional board that is appropriate.  This board really isn't the best place to ask this question.

I would have asked admin to move it, but was not sure what regional board to send it to.

I have seen a few websites where the provider says... Available to visit Upscale hotels.

Are most providers happy to visit the less upscale strip hotels such as the Stratosphere, Excalibur, Riviera etc?
How about off strip hotels such as the Tuscany, Terribles, Orleans etc?
And finally, are they/you happy to visit clients at hotels Downtown?

Cheers.

Thanks everyone for your answers.

I guess my circumstances are different from most of you.

First up I live in the UK and only "hobby" when I come to Vegas.

I am far from a cheapskate and have stayed at 23 different hotels over the past few years, including most of the upper class ones such as Bellagio, Wynn, TheHotel and my favourite PH Panoramic room.

But my next trip will be for three weeks and I hope to spend at least 8 sessions with providers.
Not to forget 21 days food, gambling and various other costs.

Throw in a thousand bucks for my flight and you can see why I cant afford to stay at the Wynn or Cosmo this trip.
Have you seen how much they want for the Cosmo for 21 days? I would need to be a banker, or bank robber, which is the same thing these days...lol.

Anyway thanks again to all who replied.

I will post in the Vegas forum next time I have a question regarding Vegas.

John.

I booked a trip to Vegas later this year through Travelocity. Got great deal on a room at Circus Circus (which I thought was OK) but then had a couple of girls tell me they wouldn't go there. After digging deeper into the reviews off Travelocity (like Yelp) I found out why. Now I didn't even want to stay there... Moved to MGM Grand. It's costing me an extra $70/night but no complaints now, at least from the same ladies...

There's scrimping (MGM isn't Bellagio) and then there's cheap. The latter will present a problem.

Last trip earlier this year (May-June) I stayed at the El Cortez (Cabana suite) Downtown, then moved up to the Tuscany Suites, which is just off the strip on East Flamingo Rd, and finally I moved across to Bills.

If a provider is not willing to travel to either of those three hotels, I would be very surprised.

hi,

Vegas has so many options - when you go for that long of a period of time you can try splitting it up into a few hotels.

Most luxury places will have cheaper rates during the week...reserve a couple of those and the cheaper hotels for weekend.

I would ask the provider; but I am sure most are willing to visit casinos. Vegas casinos are pretty safe places.

Also, depends on what type of sessions you seek. Sometimes you are in mood for a quick 1hr. session (cheaper hotel) and sometimes if you want a longer session (like with a provider you really connect with), then maybe a nicer hotel, nicer room, etc would work for you.

That is the beauty of Vegas you have SO MANY options.....enjoy.

See below for great site for Vegas deals.

And then book a date with Ashley Jade.  Then you'll find out how much the hotel matters to the provider.

When I first started hobbying, I admit that in the back of mind I would wonder "what will a provider think" about my hotel, my room, even the view I had. LOL. I think it was because I was a bit insecure about the whole thing and wanted to impress. But I don't think a single one of them ever cared. As long as your hotel is clean and safe, you're probably good to go with most of the ladies. They probably care more about easy parking than they do whether it's a 3-star or a 5-star.

For many of us out-of-town visitors, our location is dictated by a lot of factors: closeness to business associates or meetings, where family/friends are staying; where we gamble, etc. What a provider will think about it ranks pretty low.

Golden Nugget...very nice rooms....great pool
Green Valley Ranch (local casino and far from cheap, or low quality)
The M Resort (very far from the Strip, but a very very nice casino)
Red Rock (see notes from GVR)...Red Rock is on the other end of the valley.
The Plaza is downtown the recently renovated rooms are VERY nice.

Or stay at a national chain ie...Residence Inn, Marriott, Hilton...they are all over the place on Paradise and very affordable.

It's your budget, you know your pockets better than anyone else. You seem to be splurging on hobbying, instead of the noise, lights, and action. Unless you must be in the noise, action, and lights staying on the Strip is a major pain in the ass....and traffic is unpredictable.

The Circus Circus is a circus...YIKES!

It's about a low end as I would to go, but it's easy to get comped there, and for being on the strip the tables are a good deal. There are always a couple of $5 craps tables, the field pays 3x on boxcars, and there is a single 0 roulette table with a $1 -$5 minimum. They got entertainment; Andrew Dice Clay and strippers at the bar.  Yeah it's kinda low rent, couple of bums outside begging, graffiti in the bathroom, but the Peppermill is next door and that has received some good comments on this board for an all night bar. They have a romantic fire place lounge area, and a 9/6 jacks or better video poker.  Across the street is CircusCircus, even a lower low rent place, but the girls don't like it because their are two many families with kids. But they have great pay outs for special hands in poker, and the players generally suck.  The Stratosphere is not a bad place, but I've never been to the rooms, its the north end, and that part of the strip is run down.

Personally I'm not impressed by the high end strip (but the Mandaly Bay is really nice, very cool pool and concerts). But the Bellagio and the Venetian are tooooo over the top for me.  I really like the atmosphere of Downtown and Fremont street.  It's a wild party with several stages and live bands, and the odds are so good they are referred to as "Downtown Odds". I went there with Charlotte of LV once, a real down to earth girl for a real down to earth date. She took me to a bar that had a miniature golf course inside. We had allot fun. But the ONLY hotel worth staying at is the Golden Nugget, it's actually very nice. I loved the spa and the weight room. Right accross the street is Binions which has a 24th story steak house with a great view. I went to dinner there with LaRue McCay, and I also also saw April Luv on that visit and neither of those highly reviewed ladies objected to the Golden Nugget. (but here's a tip, figure out how to pay for their parking first, you can get it validated the casino.  It's not a money issue, the girls hate paying for parking since its free every where else in Vegas, it the principle).  Also Hugo's Celler is another good restaurant accross the street in the Four Queen. And there's a discount outlet for show tickets there as well.

Another hotel casino that is mentioned a lot here is the South Point.  It's a drive, but it's cheap and relatively nice.  The casino has "downtown odds" but the roulette tables don't have history boards and the single zero cost more.  They got $5 craps table but it felt on slate, very little bounce, which is actually good for a rhythm throw IF the felt is new (it was last year). They also have 2/4 limit poker. Several guys have asks on the board about it and the girls say it's OK.

Your strategy for a Vegas vacation sounds just like mine.  I save hobby money with a monthly budget and then I get a part time job. The family gives me a small budget for the trip expenses and I make it stretch by using frequent flyer miles for air fare, timeshares for the room, comp nights for extra days, groupons, I'll eat in the room for meals, a couple days I'll survive on dried soybeans, sunflower seeds, nuts and V-8 juice, and the Calloway center has a cheap par three with a great practice facility. I'll splurge on one show during my stay.  For the most part I like spending my cash on the girls.

I'm stopping in the Gold Coast this trip just to see what the big issue is or was.

But if you put a plan together, post your questionable hotels on the board. The girls will tell you which ones they won't do.  But I suspect the big issue is not the hotel but you.  If you don't have references, are unwilling to cooperate with alternative screening (work information), have a bad attitude, and communicate poorly via email; add that to staying at a cheap hotel and it will be problematic to get a date from a well reviewed girl.

Good luck, I hope this was helpful.

No it doesn't.

For me it is about the Gent I am seeing , not the hotel.
A Gent doesn't have to stay at a 5 start hotel to impress me.
And just because someone is staying at a 5 star hotel , doesn't mean I am impressed.

The most important is that the hotel is safe and clean.
Since this is VEGAS , almost every hotel "low end or "high end" the rooms are clean and the hotels are safe.

so who cares if someone is on a budget and chooses a "cheaper hotel" ,doesn't make that Gent a cheapskate.

For many reasons certain hotels are chosen.
Like I had a client staying at Circus Circus because the convention he was attending was at Circus Circus . It makes sense that he was going to stay there.
So does this mean he is cheap ?? of course not.
It didn't make sense for him to get a different hotel Since he needed to be at the location of the convention.
Who cares . He is a great guy , fun to be with and since he didn't have to spend so much money for the room , he had extra to spend on me ;-) ;-)  ....... what's wrong with that ?

If a lady wants to be a snob about the hotel , well then great , more for us none snobs LOL LOL

Downtown - while I never refuse to see a Gent because of "what hotel" he is staying at ,
I will admit that downtown isn't my most favorite place to go to.
Not because I have to pay for parking , ( although as a principal it is annoying as all other places in Vegas is free parking )
just I don't feel my car is as safe even in the parking garage compared to the strip hotels parking.
Just a bit more "low lives" hanging out in downtown.........but it still is pretty safe.

Also a bit more of a hassle to get to downtown from my house ,compared to getting to a strip hotel. but in the end those are not reasons for me to not visit a Gent downtown.
and I totally understand the reasons some Gents may choose to stay downtown.

If a lady is 86'd from a hotel , then maybe a different problem. ( Thank God I don't have that problem LOL LOL )
Since Vegas hotels are mostly owned by same owners or corporations and if someone is 86'd from one property that means they are 86'd from all properties owned ,then she will be very limited to hotels she can visit "low end" or "high end"

In the end of the day , it is all about the company I keep , not the hotel. *wink wink*

I agree with Cindy as long as the room is clean it does not have to be a five star hotel.
Recently,I saw a couple of gents at the Plaza downtown while the area is not great I had no issue whatsoever.
One gent had a convention that was downtown so it made no sense to book a room on the strip when the downtown hotel is more convenient.
There is a gent that comes to town frequently to gamble and just to get away he stays at the Gold Coast I always see him there. We always have a great time with drinks and the chinese restaurant he recommended there is really good IMO.I agree Circus Circus has a lot of kids but I was recently there if you know how to access the specific tower you do not have to walk through the casino to get to the rooms.
Everyone has their own opinion on hotels while the strip does have some very nice rooms/restaurants certain off the strip hotels are just as nice.

Do what works best for your wallet versus spending more on the room and having less money for fun.
The only places I refuse to go to are motels(such as budget suites or places where the doors face that outside)
Good luck to you!

Seriously though, she'd meet me at the Gold Coast in spite of her general disdain for the place and a select assclown that tried to meet her there.  I've met some of LV's lovely ladies at some dumps and know of other guys that have too.  I wouldn't suggest it for all the ladies, nor for a guy that doesn't have the bank of references that I have assembled.

Hey Ash, meet you at the Gold Coast, hahahaha

....on a general note I don't do outcall to somewhere I probably wouldn't do incall in. I stay in on most hotel booking sites what's considered at least 3* or better. Stick to what's considered to be at least a 3* hotel and i think you should be okay.

I would never stay in a motel room, or any room that had outside access.
I once stayed at a Days Inn in Orlando where I had to climb exterior metal steps to get to my room.
I did not choose it, my flight was canceled and the Delta put me up there.
Thats the last time I ever stayed at a place like that.

To me the lowest class hotel I would stay at in Vegas is something like the Stratosphere, IP, Excalibur etc. And trust me, all of those are better than the equivalent in most European countries.

The great thing about Vegas is that you can stay in some amazing 5 star hotels such as Wynn, Bellagio, Venetian for a price that a working g man can afford.

I myself have stayed in all of those places for just $150 a night over the past few years.
Try booking a 5 star hotel in London, Paris, Rome etc, and you will be looking at $500 or more.

Got to love Vegas.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to reply.
Appreciate all your answers.

Cheers.

John.

it matters all that much how expensive the hotel is.If it's safe and clean, does it really have to be the most expensive place in town? Just my 2 cents. To each his (or her) own.

Stay safe everyone and enjoy!
