Been to the RR, the Green Door, and a few house parties, all as a single guy. All have been YMMV, with for me the worst mileage being at the GD (but then maybe it was just me) and the most mileage, of course, at house parties.
For the Rooster the word on the "street" is that Saturday's are getting worse, with fewer people showing up as the competition from more and newer parties hones in on their action. But Sunday's aren't bad. Expect mainly people (mostly guys) in their 40's, but the women are willing.
Some of the house parties do a good job of limiting the number single guys, and the GD won't allow them into certain areas on "couples night" until after 1am.
