the issue is that dancers were busted in Las Vegas city limits that didn't seem illegal under the city ordinance but were definitely illegal under the county ordinance.  Our (NV) Supreme Court ruled that the LV city ordinance wouldn't hold water so the county's version will take hold now until the city council reviews and revises it.

One other point, Metro covers both the city and the county that doesn't have their own police force (NLV and Henderson have their own).  So you'll understand that vice has to follow multiple ordinances but they got lazy and just stuck to the county one.

As a visitor, getting extras or outside the club attention tends to cost a lot of cash.  If vice were to bust the dancer, a good attorney would recommend that she stay away from the Vegas clubs for at least six months to help with the case (don't want to see her busted again).  If she's making good money on tips, I doubt she'd give extras or see you outside the club without a lot of cash to back it up.  As always, YMMV.  Locals have an advantage of visiting the clubs on a (semi-)regular basis so being known has it's advantages (and there's an local says, it's who you know...).
