Only been living in Vegas a month, but these are a few places that come to mind if you're looking to get away from the Strip:

Breakfast / Brunch

Hash House a Go Go on Sahara & Rainbow
The Bagel on Buffalo & Summerlin Pkwy

Red Rock Casino Buffet - amazing variety and its wayyy off the Strip
plus if you're into more natural surroundings, Red Rock Canyon is a short drive from the casino, and Valley of Fire is a bit north of Vegas on the 15.

Tivoli Village on Rampart in Summerlin is a bit pretentious for my taste, but there is a restaurant there called The Poppy Den that just blew us away. Some of the most amazing flavors I've had in recent memory.  http://vegaspoppyden.com/

Now me personally, I'd go for the airplane tour of the Grand Canyon, the Helicopter tour of Vegas, Hoover Dam (the whole 9 yards. It really is amazing), the Mob Museum, the National Atomic Testing Museum and then take a drive along the Extraterrestrial Highway and pay homage to the Little A'Le'Inn near Area 51 in Rachel. Best have a full tank of gas when you leave though.

But that's just me, and I'm pretty weird.

Cheers:)

these questions have all been asked before. Sometimes this board looks more like a restaurant, hotel, gun range, etc review board than an escort review board.

...there's a walkway underneath which I plan on doing. LV has some nice gun ranges where you can try out some cool sporting weapons. Fremont Street Experience is something you should try. Anyone know if the new permanent Zipline is up and running? The Mob Museum is near the FSE and worth seeing. Also, at the Flamingo has a monument on it's property which marks the spot where Bugsy Siegel's bungalow once stood. That kind of gave me goosebumps standing on the spot where one of Las Vegas' founders once lived dangerously.

Have fun!

Is short and although the city lit up is nice its to fast . Views from stratosphere are great and there is a nice restaurant that turns as you dine . Go carts for afternoon are fun if its your thing and gun range also if its your thing . Go for gondola ride and shopping , hit some galleries too.

The Vegas show is great a must see . X Burlesque at flamingo is also a good show . Many headline shows suck so don't get suckered in . Some house shows are fun and you can do afternoon too. If you never went to one they have the knights show too  , kinda fun again and an arcade , did it with an atf too and we felt like teenagers , had a blast . If you play the tables don't be shy ask for comps . And depending on where your staying you can get a second room on the strip at any hotel and relax poolside for afternoon fun , massage etc. ...send her to the spa or a couples massage ?

Have fun and enjoy !

Wynn has a great steak house and the grounds are beautiful...

Top or the World at the Stratosphere, has a cool view of  Las Vegas but the food is very average. You can even see a few a bungie jumpers from your window or you may partake.
Botero at the Encore is a really great place if you have a date. Food is very good but I was really impressed with the service, thanks Josh.
Eiffel Tower Restaurants at the Paris Hotel has a nice view of the fountain show at the Bellagio, but again the food is very average.
I hear JeanGeorges Steakhouse at the Aria is good. I plan on dinning there on my next visit coming this week, anyone care to hang with moi??
Hope this helps and have fun........

…in practice, for me not as good.  Unfortunately, I have a tendency for motion sickness.  I'm ok on big planes, but boats, small planes, and (found out the hard way) choppers to the Grand Canyon make me a very unhappy camper.

I think I could handle a zeppelin ride over the Strip--never done that.  Are those still being offered by some company or other?  I'm sure they seat more than two people; anyone know how many more.  Or in other words:  How much privacy could I get on something like that, and would there be any possibility for some naughty play in the air, without attracting too much attention from other passengers on the blimp?

Agreed w/Hash House a go go, food is great. Also like Carnegie Deli in Mirage (bring your appetite & its a little pricy but great) and Peppermill for food choices.
