The major Strip hotels generally tolerate girls hanging out at their bars. So long as they aren't interfering with gambling or other hotel operations, girls are allowed to ply their trade. A hotel security officer once told me that the hotels understand that to many men these girls are part of the LV experience, and they prefer their customers to stay in their hotels (so by extended definition find a girl at their bar). If the experience is good, then the next time this guy comes to LV, chances are better that he'd go back to that hotel. And chances are whatever gambling he does will be at their hotel. Makes good business sense. He also said that if ever a girl was reported to security as a rip-off, or thief, then they are treated as gambling cheaters and banned from any number of hotels.
That said, I have found lately that most of the girls that hang at bars work for escort services in LV, and during down time are trying to fill in gaps. They initially ask for astronimical fees, and in many cases can be negotiated down. However, the agencies in LV have rotten reputations (almost all of them), and the one time I did use an agency I regretted doing so, so their girls, to me, are suspect. But with tools like TER, you can search for an escort that meets your performance requirements (like "BBBJ") and looks parameters (blonde with big boobs, etc.), make an appointment and be more reasonably assured of getting what you want. And believe it or not in most instance the cost is pretty much the same.
Whatever you do stay away from the street girls. Any known street girl found in a casino will be escorted out. There are many girls with drug habits and they say that STDs are high in LV among these girls.

But talking to a cab driver on my way home and curious what the scene is all about, especially the how stringent the city auth's are around there, he made it sound like the hobby is as safe as its ever been because of lost revenues recently that resulted from 9/11. That authorities are looking the other way more often than before. I was skeptical, so hoping you can fill me in. How likely is it that girls at the major casinos are not going to get harassed by cops or hotel officials? Is this a pretty common practice?
I already read the previous threads about where to go and which bar are the hot spots....and I'll check out the reviews for sure to. But going into the situation not knowing what to espect is intruiguing too. Intriguing, but more risky monetarily and legally.

Your best and safest bet is to stick with any one of the fine independent ladies talked about on this board, and the review section. Does require some planning ahead, but it's well worth it.
