If you have a local ID and scan it at the kiosk, you can park free for 24 hours.
I sure as hell don't want my photo ID scanned into the hotel security system, when I park at the MGM properties!

They scan my ID, and we all know there are cameras EVERYWHERE (parking garages, hotel/casino entrances, elevators, hotel hallways) so they now have me on film and know EXACTLY who I am, and EXACTLY where I go in the hotel/casino properties.

BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU?!

Might be worth it to pay the $10 each time.

They already have that facial recognition software.  So, they take your photo from your ID and then the cameras know your every step.
And why I'll be paying to park, and NOT showing my Photo ID to ANYONE!!!

Allowing your photo ID to be scanned, is VERY worrisome!

Let's face it, Vegas Casino/Hotels are all about PR & Marketing.  So, if you decide you'd prefer to park for free, by showing your NV Photo ID, expect the Casino/Hotel to mail you (since your home address is on your NV ID) a lovely spam letter (with the hotel brochure) thanking you for your recent visit  to whatever MGM property where you parked (with the date of your visit, enclosed).  Your wife/girlfriend opens the letter, and her wheels from hell, begin turning.  You come home to a woman glaring at you, who begins interrogating you on why in the hell you were at (insert hotel name) on so and so date!

Sigh, there goes discretion, out the window!

So, IMHO...NV hobbyists, please pay the parking fee at the MGM properties, and do NOT park for free, by allowing your NV Photo ID to be scanned.

Play Safe, and Have Fun! ;)

Free self parking for pearl members and valet for gold members.

Only problem will be if the client has already self parked or valeted (sp?).  Per the rules, only one vehicle per card. In the self parking garage, the vehicle will also have their license plate picture taken when arriving and leaving to ensure that the parking ticket is for the same car.

If caught using multiple cars for one M Life card, your privileges may be taken away.

Received an email today from M Life detailing all you need to know from costs (self parking vs valet) by hotel and the length of time your vehicle has been in the parking structure.

The valet parking fee is $13 for the first 4 hours (no grace period) and $18 for between 4-24 hours at the following resorts:
Aria, Bellagio, Delano, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand, Mirage, New York - New York, & Vdara.

The valet parking fee is $8 for the first 4 hours (no grace period) and $13 for between 4-24 hours at the following resorts:
Circus-Circus, Excalibur, Luxor & Monte Carlo.

Parking fees may be higher during special events.

I was thinking the same thing. I am hoping they take cash because i don't want a credit card trail of short visit to the property either. I will seriously consider Uber if it is CC only at the kiosk

Take cash and credit card payment at their kiosks.  Others refuse cash, because of the risk of robbers busting open the kiosks.  Hopefully, Prepaid Gift Cards will work.

All I can is...What a Pain in the Ass!!!

These days, I stay exclusively at Aria or Bellagio. I always add more to the agreed donation to cover incidentals like this.

Hmm, I wonder what happens when a customer who doesnt drive or doesnt have a vehicle while they're staying there, will the properties still charge gsts for parking even though theyre not using it. If its yes, I wont be staying at their properties ever since I fall in both categories.
