Thanks for all the assistance.  I chose the Aladdin.  I used to frequently stay at the
Rio, but I have noticed they now allow numerous children in the casino.  I believe the Rio previously did not allow children in the casino, because of the adult theme, and sexy cocktail waitress outfits.  I usually stay downtown, but for business reasons, I need to stay in better environs so that my clients are not put off.  Again, the TER members come through for me.  I am certain I will post some honest and interesting reviews following my stay.

I will be visiting Las Vegas for business (and a little pleasure).  Anyone know which hotels have high speed internet access?  It does not have to be a casino-hotel.

The Las Vegas Hilton had it when I was there several months ago.  Also, I think the AmeriSuites on Paradise offers it in their "TCB Suites".

The Strip hotels are adding high speed, slowly.

I'm pretty sure the Aladdin does (advertised on the web site) and perhaps the Venetian??

Thanks for the info.  I will try each of these.  I just stayed at the Venetian.  I'm not sure their management even knows what the internet is.  Although my suite was absolutely stunning, I was less than impressed by the responsiveness of the hotel staff (it took tham 30 minutes to find my suite reservation, the pay-per-view movies didn't work, even after I asked them to repair it, the message light on my phone in the room could not be cleared, etc., etc.).  A first rate resort, that doesn't have its act together.  I am well aware of the mechanics lien litigation brought by all the contractors in the Venetian stiffed following construction of the hotel.

The Aladdin has PCs in the rooms, and an ethernet port if you want to plug your laptop in. Kinda nice if you don't want to take a laptop, and can get your mail over the web. If you don't take a laptop, I'd suggest putting together a simple webpage on your home ISP account with your bookmarks on it. Then you surf there, and have all your bookmarks with you.
