Gastrointestinal Virus

I was in LV last weekend and noticed signs in some of the casinos warning customers about the gastrointestinal Norovirus that infected over 1,000 people last month. I've read the articles in the papers but haven't seen anything in the media for several weeks.  Also noticed that bathrooms are being cleaned with Hibiclens antibacterial soap, plastic cups have been placed in the rooms, and casino employees claim their cafeterias are now using only disposable utensils.

My question to the locals - what is your view of the status of this outbreak?  Is it over or are cases still being reported?  I would suspect that if it was gone, the signs would be taken down, etc.  Also heard that lawyers were involved.

I'm not concerned and would just advise everyone to wash their hands with soap and water, but would like an update.  Thanks.

This has been on going since September.  I don't know how many people have contracted it or if it is under control.  People said it started at the Flamingo.

An article in one of the local papers said over 1,200 had been affected by mid-November.  Thanks.
