A while back, I had posted a thread relative to an experience that a provider had not showed up as planned.  I privately noted to others that the provider was Kiana Benz.  It seems that others have shared in being stiffed by Kiana.  I don't mean to call out Kiana in particular, she is a great provider when you can actually meet with her, but will obviously jump for a better offer (e.g. from dunejumper).

Later, after much effort on communication on my part, she indicated that she had taken her cat in for emergency surgery.  Another common excuse used by providers that have stiffed others is that they "forgot" their PDA/Blackberry/Treo.  This is largely BS, of course.  What other creative excuses have providers used to not show up (of course, other than being honest and indicating that they have a better offer?).

It's that time of the month.  Of course, this is a totally VALID reason.  Hey, it's mother nature and it happens and I'm not faulting any lady that has to endure this...

fabio-this is too funny.  Twice I've enjoyed my time with Kiana, but both times she changed the appointment to later the same night.  On both occassions it was because she had an emergency with her dog and had to take it to the vet.  Since our meetings were more than a year apart she had forgotten that she used that excuse the first time.

This is what happened to me a little while back.  I had an appointment with a girl visiting from another city, who had good reviews.  I called her up an hour before the appointment.  She tells me what hotel she is staying at, and to call her when I get there and she'll tell me her room number.  I went to the hotel in question, and called her.  No answer, the phone goes directly to voice mail.  And I can't leave a message because her mailbox is full!  I waited 20 minutes, phoning 2 more times in that period.  Both times got the voice mail, with the message that the mailbox was full.  I left, never hearing from her.

Why can't she just tell the truth?

Call the guy and tell him you won't be able to see him, period, end. Don't even need an excuse.  Just say something has come up but let him know you can't make it.

I don't think this thread would have been started if she had just called to cancel rather than no showing him.

It is really pretty simple isn't it. At least CALL. This is a business.

Sometimes I think some of the girls who no show are getting even with other guys who no show. Then some I think are whacked out on glass and don't even know the time of day or night.

Craziest excuse ever told me? "My meth dealer is late!"

wtf!

sometimes we take too long getting ready. perfection takes time. ;) you think we wake looking like that? Come on now, lol. then there are those of us without aa car, who have to call for a car. Not to mention (for me at least) the earlier in the day the appointment is the later I tend to run. Plus a lot of us answer all of our e-mails, phones, and update websites and get caught up and loose track of time!!! lol. at least this is what happens to me more often than not.

However, none of the excuses you just laid out are acceptable. For all of them I say, get the stuff done and be on time, period.

Now back to the topic of the thread NO SHOW - NO CALL. And even if the cat did suffer and emergency, in this day and age of technolgoy, with blackberries, cell phones, emails there is no excuse not to call. Then with the call you can report your lame excuse as needed.

If you was one of my girls, well.......

Does an excuse even have to be acceptable?  What are you going to say, "sorry, I don't except that excuse, you have to still show up"?

LaRue was forced to cancel an appointment with me recently. She was ill. And there was no doubt she may have felt as bad about cancelling as she felt physically.

LaRue is what guys dream about. Answers the phone, calls back, easy to schedule, and shows up on time.

I understand she is pretty hot too.. :)

The only time I had to cancel was due to a pet emergency. I sure as hell would accept that as a valid excuse. That chick wasn't as understanding as I am though.

But the excuses are lame at best.

As is the former contest. Who won? What happen?

And nobody is following you around. Are you a little jittery?

If you read the complete thread, you will find that the same provider had three pet "emergencies," probably in about a year.  And those are only the ones we know about.  Doesn't sound like such a valid excuse, anymore, does it?

Wel I am sure that both  clients and providers have their share of no shows and/or flimsy excuses.

I have this one: SOme of you may know or have  been with Jacie, http://www.jacielove.net/
Well I had her scheduled for a photo session back In July, and was going to shoot in a  nice suite at a strip hotel. She even called me the weekend before asking what I thought she would wear. OK I arrive, call her  that night to set up for the shoot. I get voicemail,  tried a couple more times got the same. Finally about 1PM the next day I get a call from her, saying she is in Chicago. So I am thinkng what the hell is going on. OK so she tells me that she is "serious " about wanting to shoot with me , so says she will send me the money to cover the missed appointment. Guess what ? Not too hard to see where this ended.. Of course it never came.. . I emailed her  a coupe of times and phoned.. and never got a single reply, which of course  was no surprise.
Chalk it up to experience.. BS flows both ways
