I'll be in Vegas next month, and I really want to hike Red Rock mountains, or at least take a photo there... Lol

I was wondering if renting a car would be the best option.  I noticed that buses don't pass through there.

With that hike I can build my stamina and perhaps meet a cute lady

It has many different trails that lead to springs & more! I actually happen to love to hike there a lot as well! I think we could start there & then relax with a nice massage for you & whatever ekse you may desire!

Not me, I'm not into hiking ;) but...because there have been several accidents, park service recommends you hike with a partner.

There's also a lovely scenic loop where you can get out of your car and take photos, so I'd definitely advise renting a car.

Have fun, the scenery is gorgeous!

I visit Red Rock Canyon on almost all of my trips to Vegas.  You need to rent a car to get out there. The scenic route drive also has a small fee to enter and they have a visitor center after you pass through the entrance gate.  There are lots of areas along the route to stop and take photos.  As for hiking, I wouldn't go too far off the beaten path, if you've not familiar with the area and be sure to bring along some bottled water so you don't get dehydrated.

Check out their website for detailed info about Red Rock.  They also have maps of their hiking areas.

Red Rock Resort & Casino is also nearby, so you can always stop to by afterwards if you get hungry or want to relax and gamble a bit.

Aweome! Looks like rental car is the way to go. I've stayed at Red Rock Casino before, sure wish they offered  a shuttle to the red rocks... Is December a good time to hike? I'm assuming the weather has cooled down at that point.

I was in Vegas a few weeks ago (last week in October) and the weather has already cooled down.  Unfortunately, I got sick mid-way through my trip, so I never made it out to Red Rock, but the Fall/Winter temps are way cooler than the Summer!

December is a good time just make sure to wear pants and bring a jacket of course! It isn't freezing or anything just chilly but still great for a hike.

I rented a Dodge Viper drop top and tooled through the scenic route with Baylee Lefever (my long ago ATF) many years back. Take a friend, it's more fun.

Defiantly rent a car.  There are plenty of well marked trails.  If you have never been before plan on including time to stop at each location.  I especially like the petroglyphs.

Water is a must. A camel backpack is a great idea if you are doing the trails.

It would be fun to do this with a partner.........and perhaps a few other things 😁

I go hiking there every time I'm in Vegas.

Enjoy.
