I hope this does not turn into a flame. I am in Vegas in a 6 weeks for work and hopefully what is known as Hobby Fun. This will be a first time experince and I am excited as I'll have a fair amount of time to experiment. I have concern of privacy. Is this a valid concern? Does anyone use Confidentiality Agreements?
Smiles all and more,

This isn't a flame, I just don't understand. If you were that worried about confidentiality, why would you want to commit anything to paper?
If you want everything to be strictly confidential, then don't make contact with a cell phone or from home, business, or hotel. Don't give your real name address or phone number. In fact, you shouldn't even show up if you're that concerned.
Really, what good is a confidentiality agreement? Who are you going to sue if confidentiality is violated? Try to find someone with a stage name and no assets.
I suggest you go to a brothel with cash.

... I believe the rule of thumb is that contracts that violate law are invalid (not that any of our fine ladies in Vegas would do THAT, since they all know better).
So a confidentiality agreement as part of services rendered, under those circumstances, would not even be worth the paper it's written on (aside from the problems you've pointed out).
(Standard IANAL disclaimer applies- lawyers can feel free to rebut me)
So, yeah, it sounds to me if you are THAT concerned, a trip to Tonopah or Pahrump with a fistful of dollars (no credit cards=no trail) is probably best for you.
If you look a few threads down, you'll note comments that there are cameras EVERYWHERE in the casinos and hotels- so forget about privacy in Vegas, you ARE on Candid Camera. If you are discreet and choose the ladies you spend time with wisely, though, you'll be fairly anonymous to the eyes in the sky- and the highly rated TER ladies are sure to be discreet, since that's part of their job...
Well, you've got the legal rule correct, but your application of it is a little off. Contracts for an illegal purpose are void. For example, you can't enforce a contract to hire someone to commit a burgularly for you. Since the promise to be enforced is itself illegal, the entire agreement is invalid.
However, a contract to maintain confidentiality is perfectly legal. There is nothing illicit about a promise to keep a secret, and so the contract is definitely enforceable.
Still, there are better ways to protect your privacy than confidentiality agreements. And if a breach of the agreement should occur here, keep in mind that you'd have to go to court to enforce it... a very PUBLIC forum.
bigblind is indeed MY favorite attorney!!
aww shucks.... you're making me blush!
...that covered the "hobby" (since that would presumably be the secret in question) wouldn't be worth the paper it's written on.
(Not that any of our fine ladies would do anything illegal, mind you...)

that would be even more reason for us to keep quite. We don't want to cause problems or scare away potential clients, we want to just keep doing those naughty things that we do so well. ![]()
Prostitution is illegal in most places, including Las Vegas (and the whole of Clark County for that matter). If you have an issue with that, your best bet is to drive to Nye County (closest legal brothels are in Pahrump via NV Rt 160 aka Blue Diamond Rd) and take your cash (vs credit since you can trace credit) and enjoy one of the working girls out that way. No screening and immediate gratification. Personally, I think the drive there and back sucks but then again, I'm one pissed off driver.
If you're OK with bending the law (if not breaking it), then you just have to trust the person you end up seeing. There's a lot of great indies that work here in Vegas and the review database here is a goldmine of info to help you decide. Not a complete guarentee since you can never know if someone will turn the other cheek and take advantage of you (well, hopefully it's more the fun type rather than personal type). No piece of paper will protect your good name if that's what you're concerned about (how many celebrities have we seen drags through the mud in the national tabloids?). If your personal situation is delicate to the point where having the news of being with another woman to your circle of friends and family would be hurtful, then this "hobby" is probably not worth exploring (and if you should dabble, probably take the legit route of the legal brothels with your cold hard cash). The only point I'll make for the indie route is that there have been plenty of other guys that have gone that way and haven't been damaged (well, not broken at least, at least I don't think so).
Have fun, be safe,
Bob
