That's really it...I just wrote the biggest check of my life (more than the down payment of my house.. so sad)! And I don't want to see any "white knights" out there trying to defend the IRS.. :)

Thanks for the offer, I have an LLC corp as well to show proof of income but even with my "business" deductions, IRA and other investments I'm still stuck paying 5 figures. Glad to see there are other girls out there that have their financial "Act" together. Sadly many girls don't understand how to make the system work for them!

I myself am currently scurrying to find all the right holes to fill. (an truly no pun intended here) My CPA started out with the very high 4-figure check I was going to have to write, and we are still whittling at it.

The only upside to this thinking is that you and I will never see each other in Leavenworth, KS. lmao

Sadly (and don't everyone pile on here) my studies show that very few providers are paying taxes. Can you spell Al Capone? Your really flrting with Big Brother on this issue. There can come a time when one HAS to explain the trail of money trust me. Example: A provider I know was called aside for a baggage search at an airport. A Tony Soprano envelope was found with large quanity of money. She was able to explain it, but only that she had back-up documentation. They immeidately did a SS# check and found that there were investment companies and corporations that paid rountine taxes and 1040's were on file. "Next passenger please". And off she went. No problem. Imagine a lady that cannot proove she files taxes and has all that money?

So it hurts now, but a lot less pain than later. I hate it too.

that provider is very lucky.  For you should never ever go through the airport with a large some of cash.  For money can be automatically seized by the Feds with no questions asked.  Large some of cash can and are considered "drug money" and are seized by the Feds and numberous occasions

I have had a theory ever since I filed my first tax return after I graduated college. The theory is that for every 30K after the initial 30K that you pay in federal taxes each year that you should have one person on welfare working for you that year!

I have expanded that to illegal aliens as well!

I could staff a plantation with what I pay in taxes, lol! Or own part of a Nimitz class supercarrier!

I hate you have joined the club!

What I always tell my clients when they ask how they can save on their taxes..............pay their CPA more money - it's tax deductible!  Then we'll worry about the tax bill.

I feel for you Chase - I hate paying the government more money!

Every year I get a huge refund check because I way overpay all year long on my real legit income. And, I show so much debt on the books that any "extra" income never appears. If it is gone (spent) before you earn it, you never have anything to pay taxes on. (I thought underneath mattresses and holes in the backyard would work great but I never had anything to put there cuz I was too busy sending out debt payments.) Nothing from this hobby ever runs through the bank with me. There are just too many ways to spend the cash before it hits the bank.

I just had mine done Friday and  it was looking pretty sad,  almot 5K to the IRS and 3K to the state , due to 18k in cap gains and dividends on stocks but   my tax guy realized he forgot to include the inv credit so got it down to about 1300 to the fed an 1800 for the state, Sucks but better than it would have been. The IRS needs to be eliminated.. LOL

Don't blame the IRS.  They don't write the law.  Congress does.  Blame Harry Reid, John Ensign, et. al.
