I am brand new to this whole thing so after getting some initial advice on this board, I spent a couple of weeks researching highly reviewed providers. I made contact with a provider that had a lot of great reviews last weekend via her site explaining that I was new and didn't have any references yet. After several e-mails back and forth (and my providing information about myself that would help her verify I am who I say I am) she agreed to schedule an appointment for today.

She then went out of town on an over niter (scheduled to return this past Wednesday). On Thursday, I sent a text to her to confirm we were still set for Friday but did not receive a response. Earlier today I called her and left a voice mail (about 2 hours before the scheduled appointment time). It is now 20 minutes past the scheduled appointment time and I have still heard nothing from her.

Did I do something wrong?

... but we are just getting one side of the story. If you are looking for companionship this evening, email me and lets see what we can do.

It's just a welcome/indoctrination process that Newbie Hobbyists go through.
Be prepared also to meet providers who don't look like their pics, and also to meet a few along the way who have their dog/cat swallow their cell phones, some who have relatives who met untimely deaths and/or bad auto accidents just when they were on the way to meet you, and, of course, escorts who just no call/no show you, as happened to you this week.
If you try and stick with ladies with exceptionally high overall scores here, your chances are somewhat diminished of the above happening, but, trust me, your chances of unexpected events causing postponements, cancellations, or no shows are NEVER eliminated in this game.

Well thanks to Angella Masters my night wasn't a bust. I'll be posting my first review soon. Thanks Angella for being very accommodating and working with me in this last minute situation.

Not to suggest her unavailability for me, but rather my busy schedule.

I went years without a single hiccup in scheduling and meeting up and then I ran into some "issues". I guess, based on what I have read that I was lucky before.

I hope you had a great time! Accomodating last minute is hard for these ladies, they usually put some serious effort into getting ready for us clients.

So, the provider in question just contacted me via e-mail apologizing for not keeping the appointment stating that she had personal/family issues come up last week and that if I still wanted to meet with her to contact her but that she understood if I didn't. I understand that things happen and am considering giving it another shot with her. Is that a mistake or not?

i set an appointment to see a provider and she cancelled on me after the appointment time had passed. she texted me the reason  she couldn't make it.it was hardly believeable but ,whatever.No big deal. Two weeks later I schedule another appt. and she cancels again. this time an hour before. wtf??? she texts me two days later and says she is free that afternoon.

So, what should I do? Now, this is a lady I've seen once before but i really haven't established "trust' with her. Cancellations are harder to swallow - at least for me- if i'm not sure of their motives.Are they blowing me off? Do they not value my time? Do they even care?

Well, I went ahead and met her. She apologized and told me the "real" reason for the 2nd cancellation. It wasn't an emergency that was the reason but it was entirely believeable and I understood. We had a GREAT time afterward.

The point is: Don't  always make negative assumptions about a provider's actions.

Also, you can go for it but be sure you have ANY animosity or doubt about her out of your system before you see her. You don't want a conversation on the date rehashing the past.
