maybe becuase of my English ability, I do not understand what you mean?? your friend said they(working girls) worked with hotels?? if that what you meant, that would be totally false. I go there often but I do not work for hotel. I have never met anyone works for hotels. - If by "caught" you mean "arrested", then yes, prostitution is illegal in Clark County (you have to go to the Pahrump brothels in Nye County for nearby legal prostitution, about an hour away).

Most casinos or hotels (with some notable exceptions, like Harrah's) basically operate on a "don't ask, don't tell" policy with the working girls- as long as the solicitation isn't so incredibly blatant that they HAVE to do something, they won't, unless LV Metro is running a sting, in which case they will cooperate with local law enforcement... and then LV Metro leaves and everything goes back to normal.

Boneboybob has it right. A relative of mine is bartender at a major strip casino. He and the staff know the regular girls, but do not cross the line and "fix up" any guys with the girls, that is illegal.  The staff usually just let the guys and girls find each other.  Going to their room could be risky.  Try the reviews on this site, and some of the others.  This site is one of the more proficient sites, because ofthe volume, and the screening criteria you can choose from.   Just my opinion.
