...it appears the previous statement by "staff" regarding restoration of unmoderated posting priveleges may not have been the real deal.  

But I digress......a victim of too much turkey.

There is a difference between "Posting privileges" and "Unmoderated Status", .. If you do not have porting privileges it means you can not post on message boards at all, moderated or unmoderated, you get an error message every time you try to post on board. Restoring someone's posting privileges does not necessarily mean that person is unmoderated.
Hopefully this can help eliminate any doubts RE: the credibility of Staff’s post.
