Ok so I have my ter messenger open, and a hobbyist sends me a pm. we chat for quite some time, establish a time and rate etc, he asks me 50,000 questions, and I ask him to call or text me so that I have his number to contact him upon arrival. he doesnt want to give out his number so  I ask 4 the room number so I can verify before I leave. and of course, he flakes even after i gave him mine i kept telling him to read the reviews. 95% of the questions you are asking are right there....I can't understand for the life of me what ppl get out of blowing smoke up a providers skirt. Total time waster. with like 3 different aliases. I usually like to keep things short and sweet, but there are times when one must be a lil patient. How do we go about avoiding time wasters? and ppl playing games? what do they have to gain by doing that? input would be great...thanks

i have had that done to me ONCE and not again...if they do not give me what i require, i politely say this will not work for me and tell them i wish them well and that is it...end of conversation...now why do people do this, who knows...maybe they are le or maybe they are just that way, but do not waste your time with them...just my opinion

yes that is the conclusion I had come to as well. Just blocked him and went back to what I was doing.  I was really just venting.

Anytime a hobbyist does not give you the respect you deserve..........it should be game over.  Wasting your time is disrespectful, but am sure you can think of countless other examples.

I will chat a little to get to know a little more about him but after too many questions, I just say please look at my website. If they won't give me the phone number I politely say I will only make appts after I have that. Then I end conversation until he gives what I need otherwise he is put on ignore. Sometimes I just end it with "I look forward to meeting you in the future after we are able to talk on the phone. I hope you find what you are seeking" and leave it at that. Or every once in awhile I will say "We can continue this over the phone" and that's the end of that.

A few will keep you busy until you give up. A few are just nervous and not trying to be time wasters. Either way, it is a balancing act in being nice and not letting someone waste your time.

Why? We are one of many.

There are men who have been blacklisted to the moon and back and some ladies just don't check or think they will be different. Similar to a mans sob story, "I know her reviews said that she cancels or shows up 5 hours late, but she's just so hot!!"

Some ladies feel that way about money.
They will let anyone in the door even if they know they shouldn't.

Indys have always had this issue. I wish all Indys could be some type of group and just unify, but it will never happen.

well said. I totally agree. But agencies aren't exactly better in that sense either. I think ALL providers have experienced the ncns, or the flakes and time wasters. or the low life loud mouth idiot that just has it out for you in particular...no big deal...small thing to a giant. Cost me nothing so I pay it no mind.

This was happening to me when I posted ads at certain places on the web.
One day I got called out to the very SW.. when I arrived to th address it was gated and at that pnt he "guy" stopped replying to me
I had another appointment just hours later on the far north ... same thing happend.

I had so many problems with fake call outs that I stopped posting at some of these websites and I havent had an issue since.

I very very strongly suspect that the fake call outs were coming from an agency which posted ads on the same sites.  
Ive spoken to other ladies who had the same thing happen.
Trying to fry out the competition or just keep us busy with fake calls so they can pick up the real clients? who knows.

But now I just stick to TER and p4.. no problems since   well, (there was that one hobbyist who sent me to the wrong room on purpose but then gave me the correct number... but he was a gaslighter.. thats a whole 'nother story

no, the hobbyist contacted me ON TER MESSENGER! Wasn't from any of my ads...and i dont advertise much at all anymore...mainly because I just got a job and I would hate for the 2 lives i live to cross...

Same thing for me. Not sure why they like to play games and waste time.
