My logic is that if a provider requires a deposit she may  have had problems collecting payment.  One of the reasons she may have trouble collecting payment is because the service did not deliver what was advertised.

Well, I have been in the industry for almost twenty years but never post.

I have never been scammed since I was 30 and used backpage.  I think I just got scammed for the first time.

Has anyone seen Riley Woods?  I have seen her ads for a while and then  saw reviews start to pop up here recently.
I decided to reach out.  She required a 45% deposit which I NEVER do but I know more providers are asking so I sent it.
Then I got a reply saying she requires a $1500 security deposit for new appointments that is refundable after we meet.  This is when the alarm bells went off.  I have NEVER heard of that before.  I feel like I just got scammed.  I asked for a return of my deposit and am still waiting to hear back.

Has anyone seen her?  She looks amazing and the reviews were not over. the top.  Three of the four the reviewer only had this review but the other one had another review of someone that is an established provider.  She has a profile on X and a nice website.  Maybe I am buggin and it isn't a scam but would love to hear from someone that saw her.

You can reply to this message or hit me up privately.

Appreciate everyone.

I think he's pretty much fucked...and not in the way he was hoping for.

That reviewer Lesh also reviewed J S - not putting her full name here so just research it if you want -  where he said she came to his hotel.  Don’t think she has any other reviews that weren’t at her place.

I hadn't heard of her so I just looked at her TER reviews. All four reviewers posted their first review in the last couple of months, and two are one and done with her review. That's a great sign of a scammer who either writes self-promotion reviews or hires review bots.
.
I think your intuition that you were scammed is probably correct. Sorry you're going through this. Make sure you post a rip-off reviews and alert admin to her scam.

I’m baffled as a veteran hobby lifestyle player why?????

You said it yourself 3 out of 4 reviews only had 1 review. 🚩
45% deposit 💸
$1,500 💵  security deposit

Share the link who is this person? Why not provide the link, so no one else gets played? I hate to assume.
Ass u me

I think this is her TER profile.
That being said, I know nothing about the lady.
I will be in Vegas Monday the 25th.
Can not wait!

i did mention her name but did not put the link to her review.  her website and twitter made it all seem legit.  i did give the deposit but when she asked for the "security deposit" in addition i walked away.  poor form i suppose on my end not putting enough empahsis into the reviewers not having other reviews for most part.  sigh.........

Anytime a girl contradicts her own website it’s a sign of trouble.

Each of her four reviews contain paragraph breaks. Sure, some guys use paragraph breaks when writing reviews, but more often than not they don’t. If four in a row contain paragraph breaks, that could be a sign they’re all written by the same person.

Another sign they could all be written by the same person is that in each review the closing paragraph mentions her by name. That alone is not unusual, but 4 times in a row?

Also, look at the user names of the reviewers. At least three of the four begin with a name, i.e., “Bill.” And it’s possible the 4th does too as “les” could mean “Les” (diminutive of Lester).

All this is predicated on me looking for signs of a scammer. Had I just read the reviews cold, I might not have picked these things up.

You are certainly correct.  I remembered seeing deposit on her site and when she asked for it I definitely scrwed up not comparing to what her site said.  That was stupid mistake.  I posted this so. that others can be warned and to see if anyone had seen her and maybe I was buggin.  Clearly I was correct and will just make myself feel better by saying I took one for the team and can forewarn.  Her website and twitter certainly looked the part and she was adorable so.........

Sorry this happened to you and appreciate the warning.

A post on here X account dated August 20, says:

I was so upset to discover that a scammer is impersonating me on TER and stealing deposits 😦

I'm not on TER and I don't allow reviews. That is not my real info. My only email is [email protected] and my only website is linked in my bio. Don't reach out anywhere else!

Also, now looks like she’s on ‘hiatus’.

So to update everyone..........

The "real" Riley Woods actually communicated with me here on TER a day or two after I posted the review.
She went on to apologize that this happened and said she heard that their were reviews posted of her and it wasn't really her.....but then when she heard I got scammed she was devastated.  I guess she can have an account on here without allowing reviews so I am assuming at this point it was her that emailed me.  She told me what her true email and contact number were which differed from what was on the TER account.  She said she is never in Las Vegas and only in NYC or FMTY.  She did seem genuinely upset.

The Riley Woods profile is now down and you can not find the reviews that were posted.....mine included.  This does lead me to believe her.  If I helped take get the profile taken down and stopped others from potentially getting scammed then I am happy to take one for the team.

Now, the question is do I take the plunge and try to meet the "real" Riley to laugh about all of this....lol.

So this is not first time nor last time legitimate providers profile stolen asking for deposit etc
Always double check and verify your speaking with the correct provider.

So check reviews and website and Twitter make sure all have same emails and numbers
If one is different or off you need see if the Twitter account is a spoofed one...

You maybe communicating with a scammer not the provider Do Your Homework

Hugs Hazel Hayes
I have had same number for 15 yrs
My reviews are as old too my website is tied to my number and my email and back reviews and Twitter the circles all completed...

Check all links are tied to same person for future ...

Good reason to not do deposits. Plenty of great ladies out there that don’t require them.

My logic is that if a provider requires a deposit she may  have had problems collecting payment.  One of the reasons she may have trouble collecting payment is because the service did not deliver what was advertised.

Hi Taxguy,

I am a provider who splits my time between LA, Vegas and other cities. I am business-minded & require deposit 100% of the time. If I'm in my home city it's generally 20%. If there are risk factors or higher overhead costs for me (that could be anything from I'm traveling paying for hotels etc., or maybe it's short notice, late at night outcall, or perhaps the gentleman has a record of changing his mind. At my discretion I often then ask for 40% deposit). The only time I requested 50% deposit is the same individual had called me two nights prior, and fell asleep while I was on the way over in my Uber lmao. I forgave him but wasn't willing to go through that again so I increased deposit to 50% as a sort of insurance plan.

I am relatively new but have over 15 reviews (on other platforms - only one on TER so far). I often send a link to these so the gentleman knows he can have some assurance of my professionalism & trustworthiness.

As someone that is 'strict' on deposits, I've never heard of some kind of refundable security deposit and sadly I think yes you were scammed.

You may already know this but if you sent deposit on Venmo, Cashapp, PayPal Zelle etc. you do have recourse - first with the app, then with your bank. You can figure out what to say that doesn't sound so bad yet aligns with the truth. For example, I know someone who experienced a similar scam - he stated he had ordered a 'plus one' for a wedding or school reunion - idk. But don't get into any other details simply you ordered the service and the service wasn't delivered.

I hope this helps & stay safe out there!
