Hello to all in Las Vegas.
I'm planning to be in Las Vegas in a few months to meet an old friend and have a great time. When we originally set it up we decided to get a 2 bedroom suite at a resort just off the strip and split the cost, but am having second thoughts now due all the beautiful ladies available to spend quality time with. I feel it might be a little awkward if he or I need to use the room and it's busy. I don't really care for all the bright lights and hustle/bustle of the strip and would like to get some recommendations for nice hotels off the strip. I'm considering Green Valley Ranch, Red Rock Casino, or Westin Lake Las Vegas. I am open to suggestions and would appreciate any feedback on good places to stay that aren't associated with the strip Thanks for your help WaltAll of the hotels you suggested are considered nice hotels.
Westin Lake Las Vegas this hotel is way away from the strip very far and quite confusing to get to the property in the evening.I remember going to that property a couple years ago and if I can remember correctly there was a $10 fee to park the car in valet.
You could try the Westin that is located on Flamingo Blvd. right off the of strip that is a lot closer than the Lake Las Vegas.
Green Valley Ranch in Henderson is nice as well.
Red Rock hotel the rooms are very nice this hotel is way from the strip in Summerlin caters moreso to locals there is a great restaurant there Yard House(they have all kind of beers, liquor, and food).
Also,a lucille's bbq restaurant is located in the hotel.
If I had to choose out of all of those properties I would go with Green Valley Ranch or Red Rock can't go wrong with either one.
Have fun!
about 15 minutes from the strip right off Summerlin Prkwy. on Rampart. Was just there for a business conference, so I didn't play, to many associates around, but the separate tower behind the main building was very nice.

Thanks Jaydalee, sounds like Lake Las Vegas is a no go…another one I'm looking at is the Element in Summerlin. Any info on that property? Thanks.

My recommendation would be Red Rock. it has a more trendier and more fun "adult" type vibe than Green Valley Ranch. Better, livelier casino as well. Even the basic rooms are huge and VERY nice, so I could only imagine what the suites are like. As far as restaurants, the edge goes to Red Rock again. They both have their own movie theatre in case you want to catch a flick. However, if you like to bowl, Red Rock lanes has been featured on the travel channel and is the BEST in vegas. They have cosmic bowling at night where they turn the lights down, and along with a light/video show, the pins, lanes and balls all glow. The lanes also have a snap bar, pro shop and pool tables. Also, Yardhouse at Red Rock has one of the best happy hours in town. Jw Marriott in Summerlin is a Very nice property with rooms comparable to Red Rock and Green Valley, but boring casino with so so restaurants that provide so so service. Can't recommend. Elements isn't a resort dude. Nice property, but you're gonna have to venture out for entertainment, meals, and basically everything else. The rooms do have kitchenettes with microwave, fridge etc. Hope this helps.
This is a Westin property very nice rooms and conveniently located next to the 215 Fwy.
There is a gas station right there if you need snacks or drinks.
Across the street there is some restaurants but there is not too much around it since it is located in a residential neighborhood.
I've done several photo shoots out in the red rocks too… love it out there...
South Point is pretty good - about 2-3 miles south on the strip. Easy on/off the 15 and a variety of restaurants. Rooms are nice and the prices reasonable.

I love the M resort, the rooms are great, the buffet is huge with an assortment of all kind of little goodies.
The spa is a little pricey but worth every penny. Anthony's steak house is delicious one of my favorites. Hope that helps.
Heading to The M Resort today for the week. It has become my favorite hotel in Vegas. Clean and quiet are a plus for me
Folks it looks like Red Rock is a no brainer for me, especially if endorsed by Jaydalee, Shayla, and Lorena…no way a guy could go wrong with their recommendations!
Thanks for all your input and advice, can't wait to get there
...that it's unacceptable practice to kiss ass, dude!! Ir could result, well at least with the referenced ladies, getting YOUR ass kissed!!
....and that AIN'T a bad thing!!
Well the thought never crossed my mind until you mentioned it, thanks for bringing that to my attention.
I'd never knowingly kiss any of those ladies asses…in public!

Yes sir, I agree. Might not be a task for the faint of heart for a newbie like me…best left to the professionals.

As a resident of the neighborhood, I agree that there is lots of surrounding beauty! :
Thanks to all for your advice.
I just booked my 3 night stay at Red Rock Casino and got a very good rate through Priceline...ended up saving over $100.00 compared to booking directly with Red Rock.
Now it'll just be looking to add to the beauty!!!

The ones I've stayed at off the strip were Palace Station (wasnt bad, food was cheap esp in the bar & rooms were nice), Orleans (more restaurants there plus bowling, bingo; rooms werent bad but each time I stayed there, I had problems w/the AC units not shutting off) and Sunset Station (loved their suites esp the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom one) plus theirs a strip mall acroos the street to get food there.
