Copy that,  'for the experience' Yep,  been there -  curiosity !   I went w/ a date - his idea- We went to Sheri's which is in Pahrump, just past the Chicken Ranch (haven't been to Chicken Ranch yet ) We ate Dinner at Sheri's not too long back - Food, Service and Girls were all good- but my date just wanted to 'see' the Ranch, for the experience, (he had me for dessert XO

Been there done that more then once with friends or friends visiting the area that are more then curious to see what it's all about. I don't want to completely blow if off .... compared to going the best route from doing a little research on TER and finding the super hot ladies that make Vegas.... Vegas... it's a different experience.

I've gone out with groups of friends to some of the places... even played pool and had drinks which is kind of fun to say you did it. And from seeing a line up or two... there has been a hottie that caught my eye more then once that just gave me the "vibe". More then one turned out pretty good and there is one particular one that was a VERY HOT time. (That was long, long ago so she's probably not even there anymore.)

It's obviously a very unique experience and just because you go out there.... does not mean you have to spend more then you want to unless your big head does not know how to veto the little head and say no once it gets down to negotiation time. Done that more then once... No big deal...

It's not like they are entirely busy out there right now. Of course they are going to start out high in their negotiations for the suckers but it's ALL negotiable. Don't like it when you get there and can't find the lady that gives you the right vibes... move on and chalk it up to a good time you can't legally experience in too many places in the U.S..

Yeah... you'll go through the "inspection" if you take it to the back room but you should not be worried about that in the first place if you are seeing a provider.

Save your money for the Vegas lady that's attracting you already though.... you will probably be better off.

BTW.... take a limo out there. The road out there is not all that safe and it's best to hang in the back partying up with your friends for a good time.

For the curiosity factor... it's interesting to say the least.

Because we are meeting friends from another state once in Vegas, again, I am sure we'll end up visiting a ranch for the experience, but with what I hear, I think I'll stick with my plan...

I believe that a majority of TER hobbyists are pro-indies (including me ...LOL).  I use to visit the various Nevada brothels in a former life when I needed to play "legal" due to my career.  I still have a few friends who visit the brothel for that very reason.  It's a niche market for those who prefer/need to play legal.  Unfortunately, the brothels take advantage of those "uninformed" hobbyists who don't do their homework.  I've heard many stories of how these newbies get ripped off with $2000/hr brothel parties, since they have no idea how the system works.

However, once you've sampled the lovely indies in Vegas, most hobbyist will never want to go back to those brothels.  Although, if you've never been to a Nevada brothel and are curious as to how the legal system works, I would visit one of the larger brothels such as Sheri's or the Chicken Ranch and a tour with one of the ladies.  Tours are free and there's no obligation to "party" with the lady who gives you a tour.

If I'm going on a purely socioeconomic reason to make a choice, the brothel is the better bet.  They pay hundreds of thousands of dollars into Nevada's pretty empty tax coffers.  Those rural counties rely on that tax base to provide education to the children of the county.  A local independent may or may not file a tax return, may or may not report the income from his visit, and may or may not use the money received to fund the nose candy that she bought from a South American drug cartel.  If I'm making a judgement based on value, I'd agree with the group that most guys will get more bang for the buck with a well reviewed independent on TER, but don't pretend that it's supporting the local economy.  That's naive at best.
