Various boards have lots of posts about inflated ratings - not so much about low ones.
A recent one on a highly rated provider just makes me wonder what is it with some guys? I've never seen her but she's on my list: 49 reviews, average score 8.7/8.1, some 10s, only one rating below a 7 in 6 years. The last guy writes a fairly complementary review (calls her appearance "hot") and then rates her a 4/5. WTF? I'd be embarrassed to submit a review that says so much more about me than the girl.

If a provider has a glowing review and the person had a positive engagement and its all the things your searching for ,are you going to take that person off you to do list just because someone else feels the numbers should be different ?

You have to read the review for yourself and everyones experience with the same provider isnt going to be the same.

Rating low and writting funky reviews is a great way to not get seen in this community.

Not sure who you are talking about, or what you saw ...... because I only read MY reviews  

Someone gave a 4 to a lady he thought was hot ??........ maybe he needs glasses and thought the 4 was a 9  LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

On a serious note - Maybe the review is fake.
Maybe it was someone who couldn't get to see the lady and was pissed.
Maybe the review was written by someone who doesn't understand the "scoring system"  
There are so many Maybe's ..........

Seriously you guys take this whole review thing like it is a bible.
Stop worrying what exact scores one is given.
Read the reviews and make your own judgment.

Someone gave a 10 in looks , That is their opinion.
You ( not you literally ) have eyes,  look at the photo and decide for yourself how that lady looks in your eyes.
Most top review ladies have updated photos.

Lets say a certain lady gets over and over glowing reviews regarding her services , then it probably is true.

For an example my reviews reflect my Tantric Skills. One of the skills is to prolong for an hour.
Some guys are still in disbelief that I can do that.
but every review says it ...... because it is true
So who cares what "the score is"

The review should just be PART of a tool for you to figure out who you want to meet .
To make sure the lady won't rip you off .
Why is "the number" even important ??

Just like a lady may use the "white list" as a tool for her screening ...... it isn't the ONLY way she screens.
The review is ONE on your tools.

The numbers ... , are just numbers Who cares.

The only reason for the lady to care about the numbers is because you guys are so hung up on them.
If guys do a search for a lady using the "numbers" criteria .
One may be missing out on finding wonderful ladies , because they searched for 8-10 only.

I say no reason for numbers. Should be-
looks like photo - Yes/No
Delivered as promise Yes/No  
and the review itself can reflect everything else.
This way there will be no bitching about "inflated scores"

I agree with what you said, Cindy. I don't take it that seriously myself except I feel sorry for the lady who by all indications does a very nice job and doesn't deserve to get flamed. Some (less experienced?) hobbyists do seem to put stock in the numbers so it may cost her.

You know, figure skating or diving, where they throw out the high and the low score.  That low score for this provider is probably an outlier, so do what the Olympic judges do.

I am as guilty as any. It is a relative reference system based on experience rather than an actual number. If we were all honest how could so many have 9's and 10's in looks. Numerically speaking they would be a model or once in a lifetime. Come on....I agree with Cindy. READ the reviews...numbers are just that.

The TER system is not perfect, I think we can all agree on that.  Sure, the rating scores are subjective.  But statistically speaking, they are, IMO, sufficiently representative.  As was mentioned, occasionally you'll get some ratings that are outside the bell curve.  No problem.  There are waaaaaaay waaaaaaay... a fucking lot!...of ladies to select from.  I already spend too much time on TER, I ain't about to read ALL the written word on each lady.  In general, if she doesn't average at least an 8, I'll move on.  And quite frankly, that still results in "too many hotties, too little time".  

But just like the good Dr. Spice has alternative methods of screening, which as far as I know has worked out quite well for her, I utilize my own alternative methods of "screening" when it comes to choosing a partner in erotic indulgence.  

Many of you likely don't remember the venerable hobbyist Mathesar's rating system.  It's a shame it's no longer available.  But it was rather complex and we just don't have another wise sage that's willing to go to the effort required to produce the numbers.  For those interested, just do a search for his posts, but you'll have to go back about 2 1/2 years.  

So the bottom line is...the ATER review system is fine, but you need to broaden your analysis criteria a bit to be reasonably assured you've made a good selection.  

Geesh, upon review of the above babbling ramblings, looks like I may have actually agreed with the Dr.!  LMAO!!  WTF?

and BTW Mathesar's rating had total big time flaws and his method wasn't accurate at all.
but not his fault , he wasn't using accurate numbers.

Oh and if scoring didn't exist you wouldn't have to read all the reviews ........ just look for the reviews that say - Looks like photos.
With current system , you are still reading way too many reviews. *wink wink*

I agree with Cindy that the number system is flawed.  On my recent review, I scored a 9 to a lady who doesn't show her face in her ads, but I had a good sense of her overall body type from the pics and previous reviews.  She has some mommy marks and not as tight in the mid section, as was previously covered in a review, not a deal breaker for me.  When I saw her, I thought she was gorgeous, and scored appropriately on her beauty, her body I saw on her website, and knew what I was getting. The next reviewer kinda ripped mine, as he must not have been aware of her overall appearance, and scored a 6.

All in the eyes of the beholder.....

it frustrates me because I work really hard on writing the review, three or four days minimum, but sometimes weeks.  I really like the writing, but then all that anyone cares about are the numbers, providers and hobbyists.  It kinda hurts when I write a review, share it with the provider, and the first question that comes back is "what are my numbers".  

And i'm a chicken shit.  I getting ready to "issue" my first 7, I like her, i want to see her again, but mainly because she is close (10 minutes) and affordable, but she's a 7, last guy gave her a 5, she has a 9 and an 8, but i think she's a 7.  I'm so afraid to hurt her feelings, but I feel I need to develop a standard so I can be a responsible reviewer.  How do you guys handle this?  How can you be so .....cold (?) (cant think of a better word).

I'm working on my own system.  Im going to put in writing, like a little chart.  Email it to the provider so she knows in advance my system, and then maybe at the end of the session we can fill it out together.  Top of my list will be "keeping you heels on".  something like this.

Keeps heels on throughout session     10
Takes off heels in order to squat         9
Takes off heels while in bed                8
Takes off heels before getting in bed    7
Does not have heels                          6

and for extra points

wear heals with polished soles            +1
leaves heel marks on my chest            +2
