if any of you guys get tested for STD's. I feel that the hobby is only as safe as the men and it is sort of backwards that only the women would be tested. I know that you are paying but the lady is only as "clean " as her last client. I am being published in a national women's magazine on the impact of hobbyists and their unsuspecting partners and STD's worldwide. The article has already been submitted so any responses will not be part of it.
and you won't find any in Clark (Las Vegas) or Washoe (Reno) County.
Speaking of which, a lot of the regulations concerning the licensed brothels are designed to help the male clientele. The sex workers are required to be tested weekly for various STDs and required to use condoms for oral and other types of intercourse (does a decent job of keeping them free of STDs from client to client; they can also reject clients if they suspect STDs).
As for myself, I get tested all the time (at least once a year) and let my doctor know I have multiple partners. It's not a pleasant experience to get tested but even with condoms, you never know what you can pick up out there.
Won't go into too much detail but a provider indirectly announced she tested positive for a non-HIV STD. Never did find out who she was but I hope she contacted her clients and let them know.
You're right, we should get tested too. My guess is that most guys rely on the women getting tested and feel they're safe as long as they know providers are testing. Of course, this is a total fantasy on our part.
that she was trying to be a killjoy, just concerned. And who is to say it's not a legitimate question? Men should absolutely take their sexual health just as seriously as ladies do, especially when you have multiple partners, and know that each partner has multiple partners.
As for the brothels, there hasn't been a single reported case of STD transmission from an LPIN (Legal Prostitute In Nevada, for those of you who were about to decode that) to a civilian since the 1950's. That's pretty damned impressive, if you ask me. Ladies use protection for every act, and are allowed to reject a potential client after the STD check (a visual check she does prior to any sex, that lets her see if he has suspicious bumps, sores, etc.) if she suspects he might have an STD.
The system seems to be working. But we all know that most men visit escorts who do not comply to these strict measures, and those men should be getting tested as often as possible.
And to top all that off onthe happiest note pssible, I'm going to be at Sheri's Ranch from tomorrow through the 11th. Hope you swing by.
