Just curious on your thoughts about giving out full names to providers so they can verify your room.  

Any horror stories?  I am concerned about the "shake down" later.  Privacy is a wonderful thing!

The provider has a great and well reviewed history here on the boards but you can't un-ring a bell once your name is out!  THOUGHTS?

Everyone thinks they are experts of hookerland ......

It isn't about a screening method .  
It's to verify that the gent really is in the hotel he says he is.
Anyone can just call and say - Hi it's John , I am at hotel xyz  room number 000

Well how do I know this is true , unless I call the room to verify ??
I can only get through to the room if I have registered name of the guest .  

Please don't tell us ladies what we need to do for our screening and verification.
Being a member of a 3rd party site isn't a solution to everything .  
Your registered name to a hotel room is still required .

How safe is that ? well there is a reason many ladies here have a long standing high reputation with no problems.  
Because your name is very safe with us.  

If you are that scared and paranoid, maybe going to a brothel would be a better choice for you .

but if I ( as also many other ladies )  couldn't be trusted , then I/we wouldn't continue to have such a great reputation.

I always meet downstairs for a drink/meet and greet, but the first thing I do is make sure the guy is registered where he says he is.  
I agree with Ms. Spice.  We all verify the way we want to.  
And I also agree with kewl re the verification services.
I totally do not understand why a gent would not immediatly sign up with one of the very professional, reputable verification services available to all of us.
RS2K is outstanding, with an encrypted database:  I love working in Chicago because 80% of the guys there are RS2K.  I give them a discount!
P411 is great, although there have been a couple of isolated incidences of LE sliding through;
Date Ck isn't my favorite, but offers great service.
This is a high risk high reqrd business, but the last thing I can imagine doing is knocking on a door no knowing who is on the other side of it...gives me the shudders.

Discretion is everything.  Even when I have been severely burned by a guy which I knew exactly who he was, I did not break that vow of discretion.

I hear the Carpet Hos don't verify!!

Sounds to me you need to sign up for some John/hooker classes  

but in the mean time ,"shake down" also means fear of gent getting blackmailed by an escort .
nothing to do with LE .

As far as LE , if anything bad happens like a bust or other , sooner or later people will find out about it .....
can we recall latest online publicity that wasn't even a bust .......

And even hypothetically if I was "grabbed by LE" as an INDEPENDENT it is just a misdemeanor.
LE doesn't and can't have access to my computer or emails or any info I have because I don't do incall  
I don't bring any device with emails or anything when I visit gents . So LE can't  get nothing from me. unless they maybe catch drugs on me ( which is never going to happen )  
then getting a search warrant to my home ...... but now we are getting into felony charges.
   
When names of Gentleman were published because of busts,  it was under felony charges to who they were busting ....... and if you do your research online it wasn't independents giving out clients info.  It was whoever can get pinned for felony charges .......... well I am not go to spell everything out for you , so figure it out who gets busted with Felony charges

Not to talk about the fact that I DO NOT save clients info . I have no need for that.
The only thing I may have is email address of someone I have seen in past year .  
Every year I reformat  my computer or buy a new computer , so nothing is saved.
No info to get from me about gents.  

When I say I have long standing reputation, I mean that in all the years no one can ever say that me having gents info , got them in trouble with LE or that their livelihood  was compromised or threatened.
Rest assure if any of that would happen , sooner or later people would find out.  

 
SO with the right type of independent , Gents info is the safest.
If I couldn't be trusted , I wouldn't still be around here !
